The Cowboys have spent less cash on players than any other team in the last 2 years

We'll be even cheaper this offseason. The "splash" this year will be fart-and-fall-down-Zeke accepting less money to stay here.

That is a great and inarguable point!

Marshall Faulk also went on to say after Prescott injury during Franchise Tag Season that the 2019-2020 Cowboys had relied on Prescott to bring them back....they would play better because Prescott wasn't there.....HOFer Faulk was wrong as the Cowboys under Dalton and Cooper only gained 6 wins....
The 2020 season was a mess and not just because Dak got injured in game 5 of the season for the remainder of the year. Going into that game Dallas was 1-3 with Dak because their defense was horrible and everyone knows it.

When Dak missed 1 game in 2021 and 5 games in 2022 Dallas went 5-1 without him and while Rush was not setting offensive records, the case was being made that paying Dak $40M AAV, just like many other teams overpaying their QB's, did not justify the expensive new contracts the QB was receiving.

I know you a Goal Post Shifting expert but IF you shift to the left 2021-2022 Season the Cowboys are still bottom feeders....
I am not debating that Jerry & Co. have not done crap to improve the team by way of bringing in quality free agents and instead ignorantly overpaying their own players. My point wasn't about shifting goalposts but that 2023 figures can't be tallied yet simply because the season of spending has yet to begin.

Don't confuse cap space with cash spent.

It's not the same thing.
Every team is on the same cap and fill out their rosters. When you win 12 games you are doing better than the majority of the league no matter how much people bad mouth you.

Marshall Faulk is a known Cowboys hater.

At different points in time he has said:
Emmitt was overrated.
Witten was overrated.
DWare was overrated.
Aikman was overated.
Staubach was overrated.
I gotta give ol' Romo a tip of the cap for rejecting an interview with Faulk.
Marshall was visibly pissed about that. Hilarious!

Well given Dak choked yet again in the playoffs I guess that allows MC to be here all offseason.
Again.... If professionals who've been in this league didn't say he is a bum, maybe he is not a bum. Or maybe you and MC know more about this sport than the HOFers, current and former players, coaches, and GMs. Is that what you are saying?

Also... why would these billionaires pay millions to quarterbacks with bum skills? How can you be smart enough to make billions, yet be too stupid to recognize a bum?

Wait, one last question... there are players and coaches that said Dak ISN'T elite but is a very good quarterback. Now who's opinion should I believe you and your buddy or professionals who's paid millions to coach, play against and scheme players??

You do this dishonestly. Because you want it said EXACTLY as you type it.

Because you've seen this:

"This kid has basically carried this team the past three years," Faulk said of Elliott, before suggesting Prescott will be a "bum" once he gets paid and criticizing the Cowboys' recent decision to reward another player with a big-money extension.

That's HOFer Marshall Faulk correctly predicting Dak will be a bum once he gets paid, but because he didn't specifically say "Dak is a bum" you discredit it.

Do you think anyone cares if YOU take them seriously? You're one of about 5 posters on this site that's opinions aren't taken seriously because they're just full of emotion and name calling.

How can a bum be in the top ten in production in the quarterback category the last couple of seasons. We all know he's not elite, but how can a bum do that and have the winning percentage as a starter that he has....

Nobody has ever explained that. I'm beginning to wonder why.

The Cowboys may not even have the best starting QB in the city....Drew Plitt (Dallas Renegades) may have something to say about that.
If he's that good, Get his butt in training camp next season.

Some fans are suggesting we go after Payan........lol

This data is kinda skewed, but for the sake of argument lets say its legit...............even then its still not really surprising or shocking.

The Cowboys have decided to build the team almost exclusively through the draft and only sign cheap free agents and typically during the season.

If you do this, you are going to have a hell of a lot of players on rookie contracts on your team, thus making your cash spending rankings look very low.

Now we can debate if this is a good strategy or not, but the issue is the strategy and not really the cash being spent, which would be considerably higher if the team signed higher priced free agents but that would be "going all in" and we dont do that here.;)

"Overpaying" and "Justify" are your Opinion not Facts.

Facts are starting QBs with Winning Records and Stats to prove it always get paid Market Value.

Once again "Overpaying" is your Opinion!!

Tell me which QB, whom was a Free Agent in 2020 that would have taken a "fan opinion deserved contract" and Won a Road Playoff Game?

This is not Fantasy Football

Jerry, the owner and GM, who has made billions can't put together a Super Bowl team in nearly 30 years.....so you were saying?

I have no argument there.... but a bum player wouldn't be able to be amongst the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL pretty much every season. How does a bum manage to do those things?
