On the ticket they are saying that the Cowboys spent 250 million and made 550 million making a 300 million dollar profit.

That is part of the problem and most like the #1 reason Jerry won't step down. We keep supporting mediocrity with our money and until we stop the Cowboys will just carry on with business as normal.

Also, just think, he could've probably had Sean Payton if he would've made him a ridiculous offer but he felt it was crazy to pay that much for a coach so we're still stuck with Garrett because he is a bargain I guess.

He's a damn good businessman. There is no doubt about that.

You have a mediocre product and your business Still excels!

He's walking on our backs

As a fan all I care about is my team winning. I couldn't give two squats about how much the owner of my team makes.

I think the point he is making since 1996, they really haven't been winning. Yet people continue to buy jerseys, tickets, and merchandise.

The point im making is it kind of goes hand in hand.

Winning isn't Jerry's #1 priority and the only time it has been since the glory days was when he wanted to get that stadium built.

Now that the stadium is built and he is banking off of it he has no reason to quit his hobby of being the GM of the Cowboys which in return makes us mediocre.

It's because the Cowboys unlike the Lakers have a loyal fanbase, for every person that says they're done(lie) there's a person who says they will always bleed silver & blue. I remember the Lakers having 1 losing season and the Staples Center was a ghost town, i hate the way things are at times and get pissed but i can't imagine never watching my Cowboys not even for 1 season.

Football is different from basketball too, in the sense that a lot of people follow the players with NBA. There are a lot of LeBron fans that will root for whatever team he plays for.

I can't imagine not watching a single game....but, I haven't paid for anything with the cowboys logo on it in about 20 years. Others have given me things, so someone is buying it, but the last things I bought were triplet jerseys in the 90's....

I haven't spent a dime on this team since the 44 - 6 drubbing the Eagles put on us under Wade. I am doing my part.

Watching the TV games boosts ratings which increases advertising revenue. Its not just tickets and jerseys.

The whole idea that some fans are going to win a financial "blink first" contest with a billionaire who at worst case scenario will make a few less millions per year is rediculous.

Way to go bro! Without you buying any Cowboys stuff, Jerry would have made $20.00 more to add to his 300 mil.

Probably the worse recent thing to happen to the fans is the new stadium. He used Bill to get it built & now he's made it clear that thing is the cherry on top of his sundae.

He doesn't get embarrassed about losing because hey he got his Taj Mahal. His monument to his love for himself.

I've lost track, are we trashing Jones this week for notspending enough money or for spending too much? Is it still OK to rip on Jerry for overspending on a backup QB like Orton?

Asking for a friend.

Does anyone doubt that, if there wasn't a cap, that margin would be much smaller?

I think he is being trashed because he is Jerry.

Its clear he loves the stadium and all that it represents but...

I think he does get embarassed about losing. But i think he will feel more embarassed about finally stepping down as GM.

So its a case of really wanting to win but just not knowing how best to do it and then add in the past mistakes with drafting and salary cap management and its been an uphill battle. But im sure he thinks we are just about to turn the corner.
