Might have been worse versions but at least there was hope for improvement with them. I see no hope with this team or in the next few years.

1-15 felt better than today because you could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Today it just keeps getting darker

What isn't being said is showing up large.
The Cowboys players have a morale problem, and it shows.
I don't think the players wanted Dak re-signed. After last season's blowout loss to the Packers I believe the players saw once and for all what Dak's ceiling was. They can't say it publicly without being crucified, but I believe that they are/were hoping for a change that didn't come. And now they know the next four to six years are lost.
They are human and they know what's going on.
And it shows on the field.
Jerry finished off the Cowboys when he re-signed Dak to that insane contract.

several players left with dan quinn, and now they are 6-2.

Quinn knew what he was doing and he doesn't have to answer to PT Barnum anymore. Armstrong is a team player and I would have him any day. I don't know how he is doing with Washington but I do know he is missed.
