As a matter of fact, Coach Landry had already moved away from the Flex, just prior to being fired and I'll give you another interesting fact. The Cowboys had already spoken with Jimmy Johnson and was interested in bringing him to Dallas. If Jerry had not bought the Cowboys, it's possible that Jimmy Johnson could have come to Dallas as one of Coach Landry's assistants so it's possible that the Cowboy's Defense could have looked very much like it did on those 90s teams.
