Based on tonights performances, who gets the pink slip?

So far, I have:
Courtney Brown
Pat Watkins
 
Brown (by far)
Siavviiiii
Stanback
Corey Proctor (good LORD)
Pat McQuistan
The recently signed WR who fumbled the punt at the 11. GONE
 
Willie Reid.

And if Courtney Brown is on that list, which he should be, then so is Mike Mickens. Neither could stay with their man at all.

Someone from the backup D and O lineman to send a messsage.

Mickens was terrible tonight.

But Mickens is raw and needs time to develop.

Brown has had 3 years.

Mickens got abused, but that was his first game action since being injured and as a rookie. I would expect a bit of game rust, so I give him just a wee bit of slack. Brown on the other hand has been here for about 3 years now and there is no excuse for him.
 
I wouldn't bat an eyelash if Brown didn't even make the flight home; I kind of question the coverage call though. Mickens and Brown gave such big cushions, you didn't even see them on the field until the camera showed the reception. Those tall WRs they have need to be pressed at the line so they can't get up to full speed and at least allow the rushers to get to the QB.

Proctor if we can get anyone else to back up center

I'd say Stanback and Reid, but nobody else stepped up at WR either

Mickens gets some time to develop cuz he's a rookie but if he doesn't show improvement he won't last long

Tim Anderson - how do you line up offsides at NT??? And he got manhandled all night

Shoot with the way that Ogletree was returning those kicks today he might of signed Stanbacks pink slip. Still a few more pre season games to go and Ogletree didnt help his cause with that drop but I like his upside and his KR just added to his value

I'll agree with you as soon as Ogletree starts making any contributions to the passing game.
 
surprisingly pat watkins played pretty good. Great coverage on special teams so c brown is gone mike hamlin takes his roster spot for sure

That has been his knock...He has suspect hands. Also dont count Stanback out. Who the hell was throwing at him? Kitna was all over Hurd and Mcgee was a complete joke out there. No way These young wr's get a fair shot at making a name for themselves with madden 09 Qb's taking snaps.

Yep. Why is no one questioning the coverage calls? Campo and Wade need to explain why both these guys were put behind the 8 ball all night. Those were HUGE cushions that the corners were sitting on.
