You look foolish killing a q.b. who has won Rookie of the Year while still learning the position when thrown in way too early
Lies. They have the same record as us they weren't one of those better teams this year.Filthy was one of those "better teams" until we dismantled them last night.
I hate to point out the obvious, but the fact so many are saying he played good is just hilarious. He made SOME of the plays an NFL caliber QB makes every single week. The problem is that everyone is so used to seeing him play atrocious football that when he does what he is supposed to, people think he played well. That is the reality of our QB situation.
We talking about RG3? He was rookie of the year too... how did that work out? Dak had a good game yesterday, and as always people forget how he played 6 days earlier. It is a roller coaster. One week we win and people come out proclaiming the people who said he was horrible last week were wrong. The following week we lose and it is the reverse. Rinse, repeat...
Know what the is the sign of? Inconsistency and mediocrity. Let's win say more than 1 in a row before we proclaim anyone is anything more than that.
By the way... Eddie Lacy was rookie of the year, Sam Bradford, Percy Harvin, Vince Young... I could go on... it means they had a great rookie season... Not necessarily career.
You realize both QBs played in the NFL, right?
This is right on. Just enough to keep those who can't or won't see the true problems clinging to "lets give them a little more time". Worse case scenario in the NFL is get stuck with a QB who isn't in the top 10 to 12. Those QB's can make players around them better. Everything doesn't have to be perfect to be a contender.Dak is the worst case scenario at QB....mediocre.
He's not good enough to be a franchise QB and for us to win consistently. But he's not bad enough for Jerry to give up on him and know he needs to find a legit QB.
Instead Dak makes some plays and flashes enough athleticism to keep having JJ and the coaches believe he'll eventually turn the corner and if we surround him with enough talent we can contend. It's the worst situation to be in, wasting years sticking with someone who is mediocre hoping for a different result....much like Garrett.
Yep. Still plenty to work on but I like his progress. Especially given he's developing himself.Work on that deep ball and he might just be pretty darn good also work on seeing the filed better, saw a couple of wide open player down field that he didn't see or didn't want to send it that way
Can you teach pocket creation? Can you teach pocket presence because right now Dak has none. He holds the ball to long, and when pressured rarely steps up in the pocket. Can't see anyone teaching that.
A critic of Dak with a conscience. I never thought I'd see it. Bravo. Can't say I disagree with you at all. If you read posts I've made regarding Prescott, you'll find that I am tough on the guy and believe he is extremely flawed as a QB.
I am merely giving the guy credit for playing well last night.

Preach.....Yah, I don't think he played well. But this game should have showed the haters like you a few things that many have been telling you guys.
A good #1 receiver and better route runners would make Dak better. Better Oline play would make Dak better. Better coaching and play calling would help tremendously.
Now THAT being said, I saw Dak making the same Dak mistakes he usually does. The difference tonight is that it was surrounded by good plays and his play making.

What can be taught to develop him?Can you teach pocket creation?
so basically he has to have a dominant running game, perfect protection, great coaching and the WR's have to be wide open for him to be successful are the excuses im hearing. what NFL QB couldnt succeed under those circumstances?
Post of the month!!Dak is the worst case scenario at QB....mediocre.

Fairly low standard you have there sir.Post of the month!!
I like Dak and he will win some games for you but he's not a playoff much less championship caliber QB. The eagles did us no favors last night by losing. Just probably added more years of mediocrity at all levels of the organization.
pretty honest evaluation, afraid 4-5 years down the road it's going to be the same, mediocre Dak needs more weapons and looking for Garrett to learn to coach.Dak is the worst case scenario at QB....mediocre.
