The Dak Prescott Thread **merged**

Solid game. Showed good control of the game. Arm strength was solid and he was more confident and decisive. We can win with this version of him.

Yeah, the good news is he didn't look scared out there.

I'd go with a 7 out of 10.

When the playcalls played to his strengths, he didn't a very good job.

He was hit early, cooled off and then heated up again when it counted.

He screwed up one red zone series but then had another set of good plays he made short circuited by other player's penalties.

Fair. The miss to Rico was ridiculous. Throwing out of bounds on the deep sidelines is frustrating. Ran really well. Threw some darts on the short slants and comebacks.
This right here. He did enough but I'm not sure if that is a franchise QB at all. He played Alex Smith like which is cool but not great by any means.

Run till he gets hurt. Needed to change something and he did.

Good enough to win this game but not good enough to take us to where we want to go.

Easily his best game since last time against the Giants.

B+ or A-

He played better than the stats show

solid showing by Dak tonight.
did what he needed.
he helped more than he hurt.
love his heart.
keep it goin.

On a side note.

Eli is a future Hall of famer, who has incredible weapons around him. And how did he do, getting sacked 6 times?

No better than Dak last week really.

A couple of games into Dak's 3rd season I think we are all getting a pretty good understanding of what Dak is and isn't.

I think he can be a solid QB, much like Alex Smith (circa 2011 on).

He doesn't look like he'll ever really be a really dynamic passer, however with a good running game and adequate protection, I think he can be a winning QB.

His performance for tonight? 8 out of 10. Used his feet well. For the most part he was accurate. I knock him for two things: 1. He keeps running out of the pocket not stepping up in the pocket. He did this twice. 2. He missed a wide open Rico.
This is an evaluation only for this game.
Good job, Dak. Challenge accepted.

I would rate it as 'Good'. He wasn't spectacular but obviously good enough to get the W. As I said in the game thread, the read-option really boosts his confidence as he seems the most comfortable with that. With his higher confidence, you can see him stepping into his throws and delivering quality passes into tight windows.
