Chasing----yeah i agree...i just dont like the fans lied too...they are the ones that made him rich...Jerry as usual lied to fans saying he is "all in this season"...he is waiting for us to forget that one...has no intention on getting top notch free agents at linebacker or a super one tech so we dont get ran through like melted butter..
that has been our weakness for over 6 years...so i dont want to hear the lies anymore and so many after not just getting bounced but it was how we got bounced
worst humiliating loss in cowboy playoff history and players had planned huge party afterward so they were already looking pass Green Bay....its all on coaching
and Jerry...not having team prepared...and not having right players in key positions...bell a little over 200 pounds playing as run stopping linebacker is plain stupid
and that was week after week after week...we could have adjusted....but not us...obviously i am still very hurt over the loss...i will end here...blessings to you and family this upcoming year
Team was definitely not properly prepared. They seemed entitled. How arrogant or over confident do you have to have a party like that prepared?

I will wait to pass judgement on Jerry's all in comment, but I do not expect much.

His other Holistically comment is a complete joke. How else should a GM look at his team???

Maybe he has finally figured out that football is a team sport. It would make a lot of sense, sense half our fans do not.

How many this century and/or since the team Jimmy built faded away?

GM Al Davis has been to a Super Bowl this century and he's been in the ground for a while now.
and Jerry hasn't gotten close.
Just trying to be reasonable about passing the credit around. Credit Jerry for hiring Jimmy to begin with and also working out acquiring the trades and acquisitions through the draft in the golden Super Bowl 90s. As far as Jerry's career as GM in acquiring the right players and coaching staff, the post season mediocre results over decades speak for themselves. Honorable dysfunctional mention Stephen Jones.

Not bad for being around the rim.......think about it Jerry, if you also could have won one or three more Lombardis.....but that would be asking for too much of course.

Especially surprised about Golden State, I know they won a lot recently, but it wasn’t that long ago they were a doormat.

Half the team‘s value is probably just overinflated San Francisco real estate. :muttley:
Warriors don’t even own their stadium. Oakland owns Oracle arena . I looked it up and their revenue has doubled in recent years with winning multiple championships .

Assume their growth is associated with attendance . Being in SF Bay Area their tickets are prob the highest in the league . And their TV revenue is certainly to be one of the highest as well.

Remember in NBA there isn’t equal TV revenue like in NFL. If you’re popular you get more games televised .

I’m not really sure how much more revenue they could have earned with winning championships . Perhaps a little more in merchandise sales .

The Cowboys top revenue is largely based on their stadium revenue as it’s the largest venue hence selling the most tickets with some of the highest prices . Throw in highest prices for parking and concessions to coincide with attendance numbers .

And then the stadium sponsors which Cowboys have the most partners from official cars, beers, colas , pizzas and even an official casino.

All of which have been sold this era without winning or even playing for any championships. No wonder our owner doesn’t feel any pressure to have more success on the field or change his ways .

I always wondered why there were so many Cowboy fans outside of Texas. It's a mystery to me. Especially now that we're not winning anything, yet it seems our fanbase just grows every year.

Alameda County (Oakland) does own that arena, but the Warriors no longer play in it.

Golden State, #2?

That seems specious and very temporary.

Once Curry retires, if not well before, that franchise will return to back to its pre-Curry mediocre standing.

Same thing said another way, if sports franchises had a stock price, I'd be selling GSW stock big-time.

That partially speaks to what is so admirable about the Dallas Cowboys standing... not having won, nor even having been in the stadium to try to win a championship in almost 30 years... and yet... that valued, that popular.

And oh by the way, seems like we used to see the Lakers, the Celtics, and the Yankees competing more for this unofficial title... not so much these days, though. Yankees especially. But I think that might be somewhat attributable to how what used to be baseball is now more accurately described as the b@stardized version of the grand ol game, the national pastime... my working theory would be that it's more about the fall off because of Manfred's unfortunate decisions for the game as a whole, and the Yankees' value is just suffering from the overall malaise in that professional sport.

The key here is that far right column.

20% increase in value from a year ago.

As far as Jerry's concerned, getting dog walked on our own field by the last team in doesn't matter.

2023 was a huge success. They were talking about us and the team value increased. The fans lost but Jerry won big. Expect more of the same

Let me think.... Lombardi or 9 billion......
It's not like a 6th Lombardi would decrease any of that wealth. It's just that he couldn't do it again if his life depended on it. And no, we aren't close. He won't find another Jimmy and won't let someone who really knows his stuff grab that GM chair.

Too bad... for us.

If only our owner could remember that winning a championship is the ultimate sales pitch. The team’s lofty financial status and reputation is based primarily on its past championships, not the last three decades of 4 wild card wins.
