I think it comes down to Carroll or Scandrick......I'm leaning more towards Scandrick getting the boot
I can't recall seeing Scandrick have bad games like Carroll's bad games. Scandrick also knows the in and outs of what Marinelli wants from his secondary and can probably act as a go-between from coaches to the younsters. I don't think this is his year to be let go.

Yikes! That starting secondary is expansion team-level bad.

Definitely looks that way on paper.

But at the same time...Tony Romo going down and a 4th rounder Dak being the starting QB last year right after the injury did not look good on paper either.
Nor did the idea that a 6th string rookie DB would make any impact at all but Brown did.

Could surprise us some. Maybe not.

It will be a test. That is sure.

I imagine this young group will have some growing pains but I am hoping to see enough from this young group (not counting Oscan and Carroll) to hope they have a decent future with the Cowboys with some time.

no way does Dallas take 5 S' on the active roster. Think Frazier will get cut. And unless Woods can learn how to tackle instead of just hit he wont be active over Blanton because Blanton is a straight tackling machine.

I dont think Brown will be starting. He did admirable last yr, but he was a PI magnet. He's too slow to matchup against speed too. Think either Lewis or Awuzie will be starting on the left side this yr. I dont know why people are penciling Nolan in as starter by default. The guy has been bad for the past 2 yrs. Awuzie matches up favorably skillset wise against Nolan.

Im going to pencil in Smith at MIKE now. Im a believer now lol

Irving is going to be gone the first 4 weeks. And that means he cant be around the team for those 4 weeks. I doubt he gets active until week 6 to get in shape.

MY DLineup thru 6 weeks
Lawrence | Crawford | Thornton | Charlton Starting
Tapper | Collins | Paea | Mayowa

Situational playing DE and inside Moore

Disagree on Brown. Well, maybe Awuzie beats him out, but disagree on him and his speed. Doesn't he run like a 4.3 or just above that. Seems he didn't get burned too much last year, and he stuck with WR's too. He did not have a lot of penalties as much as what you think for a rookie.
This will be good competiton for all these DB's this year.

Carroll got a $3 million SB with only $1 million base left for the year, they've been after him for at least two years. He's considered a better player than Carr, more aggressive. Can't see them cutting him this year.
I agree. Main reason why I think Scandrick is first to leave
