the DE and OLB 10-yard dash times

It makes sense when you realize they're saying he wouldn't make a good ILB at the next level.

Ok then, what kind of rush LB or DE comes into the league with 10 career sacks vs nobodies and has success as a pass rusher.

And by the way......if you're not physical enough to play ILB covered up by two DT's you aren't physical enough to play DE or rush LB.

I'm not aware of many ILBs that rack up sack totals in college. He was miscast in college. Maybe you missed it when I said that already.

As for the "not physical enough to play ILB" I have no idea what they're talking about. If they mean MLB in a 4-3 that statement just makes no sense. If they mean ILB in the 3-4, it makes a little sense, because he'd be better suited as a rusher than a run stopping guy that takes on guards.

Edit: In addition, he started his college career playing safety. Wow, talk about miscast. That would also explain his lack of career collegiate sacks.

You're right, he was miscast.

Brown University had too many 6-4/250 4.5 pass rushers and outside linebackers so they were forced to play him inside.

They didn't want to use the best athlete on the team as a pass rusher?

Interesting.

They're talking about he got away with it in the Ivy League because the competition sucked and he was covered up.

In the NFL he wouldn't be physical enough.

So he's better off taking on tackles on the outside vs guards inside?

I get real tired of trying to talk football with people like yourself. It's very unfortunate that the majority of people that like to talk about football have this level of of logical reasoning ability. He was miscast. They had him at the wrong position. It doesn't mean he's not a pass-rusher.

Oh, really? Where do they say that?

The guy is 6'4", 250 and threw up 26 reps. The only thing that would prevent him from being physical is timidity. Maybe that's what they're talking about. It's a snippet from a scout website, which even contradicts itself, so who knows?

In the end, we know the guy is smart and extremely talented physically. He's got all the ideal measurables. If he hadn't gone to Brown, he'd most likely been a top prospect.

He was miscast for 4 years.

Happens I guess.

Perhaps Brown just doesn't like to rush the QB?

They had the guy at safety for crying out loud.
