Again prisoner of the moment. Last year we were laughing watching cousins and the Commanders flame out. Suddenly he's good now? Hell no he still sucks.

And young players can't get better? Cousins can't improve with a year's worth of experience in the same system? Please. Homerism overload.

They are 5-6.
The Cowboys are 3-8. Winless without Romo.

Normally at this point in the season there is somebody who has a lead in the division. Not everbody sitting with a losing record.

What does "normal" have to do with anything? No two NFL seasons are ever the same. And the NFC East is terrible this year, but the Cowboys are so bad that they're still not in it.

Cousins isn't good period.

He's among the top half of the league right now, while the Cowboys now have no choice but to play a quarterback who hasn't shown the ability to win a game thus far. And now can't turn back to the other loser, even if they wanted to.

Cousins is much better than any options we have.

He should be. We are without our franchise QB. Not exactly setting the bar very high.

Cousins is, who he is....a decent WCO Quarterback that has not played well against good defenses and is limited. If winning now prevents them from trying to draft a QB in the first round...that's a victory for us in the long run.

Cousins currently sits at #13 in passing yards and among the best in the league in completion percentage. He's getting the job done, unlike anyone we can put out there.

At this point, we need whatever semblance of a victory we can get. I guess we've reached the point where we're considering opponents wins against us as "victories" now.

Again, you're not setting the bar really high.

Tyrod Taylor is better than anybody we can put out there. Thinking that he's a future superstar is another thing.

No one said that Cousins was a superstar, why so many strawman arguments today? This whole thing started because a poster named Jstopper, claimed that Matt Cassel was a better option than Kirk Cousins. Now obviously anyone who hasn't been tainted by blue Kool aid would tell you that is nonsense. That's what we're saying.

Look at the tape. He's not a starter. But I'm glad you skin fans think so.. Hopefully you keep him as your starter and keep that coach..he throws Alot of checkdowns. I wish cromartie would have dropped a pick sux for us. Because he clearly threw that ball right to him today that should have gone to the house.

I think it's safe to say I watch WAY more Commander games than you do, and have done plenty of "looking at tape". Kirk is a first time unquestioned #1 starter now, not a backup plan or emergency relief, but a starter. Kirk is already progressing as a qb, he's taking some lumps, but overall is showing improvement and is learning what he needs to do to be a "starter".
And the checkdowns are a part of the way Gruden runs his offense, it was the same in Cincy as well.
Take what's available and move on the next play. Kirk checks down a little more than I'd like, but the longer plays will come with time.

Cassel will carve up the Commanders secondary faster than cousins will carve ours. You're a prisoner of the moment. We have seen cousins up close and personal multiple times since he was drafted. And whipped his butt. He's garbage

Colt McCoy beat us last year. That's with Romo playing most of the game. I'm sure Cousins can beat us this year.

Not sure if this has been answered but...

Lets just say by some longshot we get in the playoffs. Could romo be back for the wildcard game? I would be essentially 6 weeks for Romo to heal

Not if he is IR'd. I don't think that that has officially happened yet, Dr Jones can't quite face the reality.

Makes you wonder if this season had last year's Dallas team if the East would be sewed up by now, even with two left against the Commanders.

Cool glad he's your starter for the future lol.. First time starter??. Didn't he start last year " unquestioned "? Isn't this his 4th year? He's garbage Man. Sorry , he's just lucky cromartie dropped that int that should have been taken to the house. The guy still makes dumb throws. Nothing has changed. He's a future backup. But as I said we all hope gruden and cousins stats around next year.

Cassie came here and was made starter in 5 weeks. Cousins has been with the skins for 3 seasons. This is cousins first season looking even decent. Hell no. He'll be out of a job and on another team very soon.

This is really terrible logic. Cousins hasn't been getting starter reps for 3 seasons. So mentioning how long he's been a Commander is pointless. And Kirk is almost guaranteed to be the starter for Washington going into next season at this point.

No. At this point we need to lose out and build for next year. Every win the rest of the season is counterproductive.
