Stupid mistakes by players and coaches.

The biggest coaching mistake was what? Garrett not running the ball when we were up 24-20?

But how many times have you seen Dallas score from that area of the field?

That is a high percentage area for this team when trying to score off the big play.

It's easy to say that we should have ran it but Romo had no business making that throw and im sure he would tell you that.

I might be more upset if it were my College football team but Romo knows better than that. I expect more out of a NFL vet.

We all should. And said vet should expect more out of himself.

Worse, we have players who play "smaller" the "bigger" the game gets. Bottom line, this team does not know how to "finish" and that's because they're mentally weak.

In his post-game presser, Tom Couchlin talked about how the Giants emphasize "winning the 4th quarter" because that's the key to winning in the NFL. He siad how it was good that his Giants dod win the 4th quarter by scroing more points than Dallas and that this was the key to their win.

When have you ever heard a coach in Dallas specifcally talk about winning the 4th quarter? Heck, when have you heard a Cowboy player be minful of that? Winning the 4th quarter is about winning. Great players, like those on other teams, think that way. Small players, like these Cowboys, think about relaxing in Cabo.

THAT is the difference between us and the top teams in this league.

Very well said.

Mario Manningham barely played last season. my point was it's not like he was facing Randy Moss or Larry Fitzgerald.

I'm with you, bob... Trying to motivate these players by basically bragging about how much you spent on the stadium is beyond weird.

Also, remember the "I could do anything in the world I wanted to, but I'm here" speech? Strange as well.

I will say that last week I was looking around the radio while doing some yard work, and on Monday night on 1080 am I caught the end of a show with Crayton and Roy Williams. Brad Sham asked Roy how much Jerry was around at practice, and he said two or three times a week. Sham asked if Jerry gave speeches before the game, and Roy said not usually, it's more individual pep talks before games. Roy said the players called him "dad", as in "I see you had a talk with dad"... Roy and Crayton were kind of semi-snickering about it. So you wonder how seriously they take all this.

But yeah -- the idea that "You better perform or I'll look bad after spending all this money on my big party" is lame.

BTW, if you live within a couple hundred miles of DFW, maybe even more, you can catch that show at dusk and after. That one was Monday night and there's one Wednesday night that I caught with Charles Haley and Nate Newton. Apparently they're every Monday and Wednesday from 7-8pm. I didn't even know these were out there until I just lucked onto them.

The difference Between Dallas and NY is pretty large.

I dont feel like getting into a long winded argument.

But in a nutshell they have an excellent coaching staff from top to bottom. They evaluate talent and acquire talent very well and they then develop the talent very well.

They are about something. They all stand for something. They play the game the same way week in and week out. They have one voice up there that speaks for the team.

Meanwhile in Dallas, we have a big video board and a roof that opens. And seemingly that is all the organization is worried about. We have talking points and no lead guy at the top.

Its frustrating to me because both organizations were pretty similar here at one point. Now its about as unfamiliar as it can get. To me anyway.

Yet none of this consistently translates into them being the better team when we face them.

There 3-1 against us in the last 4. That includes a playoff win in our stadium and a super bowl championship at the end of that.

Thats pretty significant. They have injuries and guys step in and play because they are talented and prepared to handle the situations because of the structure of the organization.

ON our side of the block, it is rare for us to see that. Only at running back can we handle an injury and push forward.

It sucks and it makes me upset because like I said a few years ago i felt these were mirror images of each other.

They're 4-2 against us with Romo starting.

That's more significant and descriptive.

I get the feeling you were grasping for air in a fit of rage as you typed this.

Calm down.

I said that they're not "consistently" better when facing us. If they're 4-2 with Romo starting, they're obviously not "consistently" better.

Thats true. But today as of right now, they are the better team.

2 of romo's last 3 against them we have lost.

That game the other night said more about the giants than it did about Dallas. I know people dont want to see that but its the reality.

Hopefully we get them in ny, but I dont think we are near where they are as an organization. Hopefully we play well and they trip up somewhere.

yeah i'm still pissed over the loss. my point was that they aren't facing us every game and have become the better overall team. the main reason for that is the Giants owner sits in his office and lets the scouts,gm, coaches and players do their jobs.

Is says they can't score in the redzone and despite being handed 4 turnovers they won by 2 points and could not stop the running attack. Had the shoe been on the other foot I'm sure our daily critic would have brought that up

Yeah they are having troubles in the red zone. Its a good thing. Manning had a simple pitch and catch to kevin boss on the opening drive of the third qtr....he didnt see it and overthrew the running back in the flat on third down. Tynes proceeded to miss a field goal.

Newman and sensebaugh both blew the play and left boss wide open, or one of them did...either way.

Again, all of that stuff you pointed out, struggling in the red zone, getting 4 turnovers and missing some players says more about the giants than the cowboys.

they have structure from top to bottom and that trickles down throughout the staff and the players and you see the results of that on the field.

We have actually taken a step back from where we were in comparison to them.

I'm not so certain about that. Obviously this is all speculative, but I think if you replay Sunday's game 10 times, we'd likely win 6 to 8 of them. I just don't think we consistently have the back luck and huge mistakes again and again like we did in that game.

In other words, if we lined up tomorrow against them, I'm not certain I wouldn't feel very confident about winning that game.

Giants did not make plays to get those turnovers, they were handed to them. I have no problem giving credit to any team when they make great plays but it was not as if they were jumping routs these balls were thrown right to them hell the TD the CB did not have to move nor on the long ball the other int the CB looked shocked when the ball bounced right into his hands.

In the mean time NY could not stop Dallas from running and in the redzone Dallas was 4 of 4 mean while NY was 0 for 5 in the redzone.
Now had the shoe been on the other foot I have no doubts that our daily critics around here would have blasted the Cowboys and the coaching staff. Hell the Giants OC Gilbride had 5 fricken shot in the redzone and could not get it in? Gosh what a moron he is or he needs to be more creative he is so predictable.

That is the crap thown at Dallas win or lose by our daily critics but when it is someone else well they are great they over came what a great team they are. Use the same glasses when viewing others as you do the Cowboys sometimes

If we don't protect the ball better than we won't beat anyone.

4 turnovers will catch you an L even against the Lions.
