Better get it corrected now or we will be sitting on the couch again come the divisional round.
Yup today looked like every playoff loss. Why does our offense always AlwaYs start slow in playoff losses?

It shouldn't have. We should've been running the ball the first half when we were avg 7 ypc. That was a terrible game plan from go.

I mean the playoffs. Where good teams can take the run away and make us one dimensional

A win is a win most of the time. There are no guarantees when the game starts just based on the records of the teams. The Vikings got destroyed by the Lions and the Titans loss to the Jags. It is the NFL. No game is ever a gimmee. You work on what you need to improve and enjoy that you got out with a victory.

difference is the lions are significantly improving, and both games you listed were divisional. We played against the lowly “tanking” 1-10 Texans who lost their best player in the 2nd half. There is NO excuse for how Dallas played today. I don’t care if they came back and won or not. That was more pathetic than our loss against GB.

This is why I went golfing today. Either we win a boring blowout or I end up yelling at the TV for three hours. Classic trap game, these guys always buy the hype and end up playing down to the competition. But we won and in the end that is all that matters.

It is the Dallas Cowboys. They draw every team's best effort. A win is never worse than a loss.

The last two games for me show whether Dallas is a real contender or a mirage or pretender come playoff time....Good teams put Indy and Houston away early and often, they don't allow these bad football teams to hang around into the fourth quarter or need a last minute drive to win in December at home so to me, Dallas is a pretender again going into the playoffs...
You mean like the Super Bowl favorites, Philadelphia Eagles, who were losing to the Colts and tied with the Texans at halftime. They sure didn’t put them away early.

Staubach was a great, but not flawless as everyone wants to remember him being. As well as every other HOF QB that has ever won a SB.

They are all NFL teams. We are not facing college teams

In a 17-game schedule, you are going to have 2-3 games like this. It has always been that way.
You just hope you somehow win them anyway.

Last year, every single top team had games like this that ended in a loss....and both SB finalists had more than one.

This stuff balances out
  • We are not, on average, 35 points better than the Colts and
  • We are not, on average, 4 points better than the Texans
They underachieved today.
Now on to the next game

This was last year's Denver game (30-16). This time we won. Was very ugly but we won. If philly can beat the colts 17-16 in the final minutes, I'll take it.

As far as last-minute drives, well Baker Mayfield led his team full of backups on a drive like that on Thursday....vs far better competition.
So Mayfield, Staubach, Dak.....lol

but… but… we came back and won. But but any given Sunday. But but we had injuries.

-everyone defending this abysmal excuse of a game

yeah, these are the same people that told me last year when I said the one team I didn't want to play in the first round of the playoffs was SF, I was told but but but it's a different season, it's not the regular season......Dallas couldn't run the ball consistently, couldn't stop the run consistently and took to many penalties...that didn't change in the playoffs...

Why do you care what a bunch of Dak hating cry babies think? They are a bunch of losers that cant admit they got it all wrong about Dak.

Another win today for the Cowboys under Dak and he did in clutch fashion.
No one cares what you have to say about anything

Prospective is recognizing the quality of the team they barely beat. If it was a 500 or better team it would have been more palatable. Prospective
I won't make excuses for why they played like they did today but people have to come to grips what comes with that whole "America's Team" title. It means you won't get the worst of everyone. Everyone plays up against the Cowboys. So the Cowboys don't have the chance to come out flat. They have to play big and can't beat themselves. Cowboys will never a bad teams worse always their best.

Staubach had 23 come from behind wins in his career. Of those, 17 were in the last two minutes.

This is not comparing Staubach and Dak, but to point out even the ones we admire play games like the one today.

But where the double standard comes in is the people whining today are the same ones who say Dak can't come from behind and put together the winning drive.

You just saw it. They all played flat. Read the headlines. Saw the Vegas line and thought this was in the bag. Mistakes all over the field.

But they got the ball back and drove 98 yards to win the game. It took a defensive stand, and an offensive drive to beat this team.

I have seen every season where Dallas ended up in the Super Bowl The only one I did not see, I was cooling my heels in Vietnam. Every season where they played in the NFC Championship game had games like this.

Is it too much to have a little perspective? Evidently for some it is.

When you win Championships you’ll get the benefit of the doubt.

When all you’ve won is a wildcard game then people tend to not give you a pass when you play average / like garbage while making 40 mill a season.
