Staubach had 23 come from behind wins in his career. Of those, 17 were in the last two minutes.

This is not comparing Staubach and Dak, but to point out even the ones we admire play games like the one today.

But where the double standard comes in is the people whining today are the same ones who say Dak can't come from behind and put together the winning drive.

You just saw it. They all played flat. Read the headlines. Saw the Vegas line and thought this was in the bag. Mistakes all over the field.

But they got the ball back and drove 98 yards to win the game. It took a defensive stand, and an offensive drive to beat this team.

I have seen every season where Dallas ended up in the Super Bowl The only one I did not see, I was cooling my heels in Vietnam. Every season where they played in the NFC Championship game had games like this.

Is it too much to have a little perspective? Evidently for some it is.

How about this for a point....#4 still makes the same late throws....poor decisions....locks on to WRs....audibles into poor plays....turns the ball over too much.

Cooper Rush didn't do nearly as much of this ......

All I can say is wow!! You must have to really grasp for straws in starting this thread. He had a stinker part week if you don’t remember. He sucked the complete first half, it was a one point game going into the fourth before defense got multiple turnovers and gave home a short field multiple times. He has multiple games and will continue to have multiple games of lackluster performances. He sucks and that’s all there is to it. Take him to another team and you can admire him there. Thanks for playing, next QB please

It’s easy to follow. Guys who have proven they can win things tend to get the benefit of the doubt when they fail because they are proven. I feel like this is standard.
I understand your logic. It just makes no sense. You give the guy the benefit of the doubt who has proven it but you hold the guy who hasn't to a higher standard.

Yep.. Especially after he demanded to be paid like a guy who has proven it.

I don’t hold him to a higher standard though. That’s your words.

I’m just willing to give players a pass who have actually won things.

TwoDeep has watched Staubach play. You need to put some respect on his name he's far more credible than you are.

Eagles almost lost 3 or 4 games to much lesser teams, yet you Dak haters keep worshipping them. But you call yourselves Cowboys fans???

Yeah, riiiiiiight...
Who is lesser than a 1-10-1 team? Who? No one that’s who. Dak sucked against the worst team in the nfl and you say the eagle almost lost 3 or 4 games.lol. Not bc of of hurts throwing interception and fumbling on a short field that’s for sure. You go take you comments to the insane asylum, maybe they’ll listen to your blastfamy.

You can take your Hurts guzzling loving to the Eagles website. Maybe they will listen and love your Cowboys blasphemy.

Better get it corrected now or we will be sitting on the couch again come the divisional round.

The Chiefs beat allowed the worst offense in football to put up 28 and Buffalo probably loses if the Jets have a QB. After the circus this week with the OBJ BS, I knew this was going to happen. I predicted a 20-14 game. Any team can win in any day. We win to go to 10-3 and you’re talking about losing. “You have a whacked outlook on the NFL homie.”

Also can I add that we forget sometimes that this is the NFL?

Houston is 1-11-1 but have been in all but two games this season (and they only have three losses by three-plus scores). This isn't college football when you can just show up and win 56-7 against inferior teams.

In pro football there are teams with bad records but no truly bad teams. The Cowboys get everybody's "A" game because they are so universally loved AND hated. The Texans were way more emotionally involved in this game than Dallas and it showed. In the end Dallas' superior talent somehow won out.

I keep seeing folks say it was because Dak played bad but nothing about the defense or Turpin fumbling the punt which allowed Texans to tie it up.

Honestly I think Texans would have quit had Turpin not fumbled and Dallas went right down the field and made it 14-0.

Lol…ok sure thing. Everyone that’s honest about Dak has no credibility. Gotcha
Hey Wangy, would you rather have no QB and be getting ready for the season to be over? What’s your plan for it to be better?

You know, I’ve seen them lose a lot of games just like that in years prior. Sometimes you need these games where you dig deep and operate on razor thin margins to get you refocused on the task at hand. Still a lot of football left to play and we’re still alive so I’m happy

Exactly

Some of you people kill me. When Dak lights it up and the Boys still lose... It's all about the W. Stats and scores don't matter. Now... when the Boys win, it's all about how good you look doing it... Not about the W. Some of you just can't help yourselves. You move the goalpost on a weekly basis to fit whatever narrative you're trying to pitch that week. I swear... If I gave everyone on this site a $100 dollar bill, some of you would ***** because it wasn't five $20s.

First of all, they showed many replays of Dak scanning the field for open receivers....

And you mean the same Cooper Rush that gets released and placed on the practice squad annually and he's been in the league almost as long as Dak has???? Or the Cooper Rush that passes for JUST over 100 yards and 4tds in 4 games???

Is it that people don't think he can lead a game winning drive late or the fact some are pointing out that while he did lead us on the winning drive late, we were in that spot because Dak (and yes others on the team), were pretty bad the first 58 minutes of the game? For example, Dak got bailed out earlier in the quarter by the defense after he threw a bad interception deep in our territory. One game winning drive shouldn't erase or excuse Dak (or any QB for that matter), if the reason they needed a late score was because that QB played poorly up until that point.

IMO it was mostly due to sloppy play on both sides of the ball. The key to beating the Cowboys is to stop the run and make DAK beat you. Sometimes it’s not pretty but it gets done…and sometime in big games he doesn’t make the best decisions

I mean the playoffs. Where good teams can take the run away and make us one dimensional

We will need to be able to run, in the playoffs. If this line and run game are legit we should still be grinding the ball, and Dak picking his spots.

Today was the worst game plan I've seen all year from KM. Dak had no business throwing the ball nearly 30 times in the first half while we were running for 7 yards a clip, against a horrid run defense.
