I never thought it would happen anyway. But I am sure there are those out there that will still believe it is possible.

At first I wanted no part of brining in an aging high priced RB. Then I somewhat changed my mind, that I would not complain if it happened, for the right deal.
I am just ready for TC to start, see what the current RB's can do, and move on into the season. I said all along, and still maintain that we will be fine with the RB's we have.

Yep. No more teasing.

The only people "teased" were the very gullible.

All along it was media soundbyte driven rumor that was repeated over and over in an attempt to make it seem likely. You know, that same media that can never be trusted?

We had a flip phone conversation/faux pas and a bunch of conjecture after that.

At no time did Minnesota waver from their public stance. And look where we are now.

I'm personally happy. I'd rather have Murray at 27 for less money than AD at 31 for a ton.

Fun? No. Painful? Yes.

I don't get this thinking at all

There are literally hundreds of threads I don't follow because they don't interest me

Yet the Peterson threads were some of the longest and most active

You might have a different view, but I don't understand the need to shut down popular threads just because a few people think they are pointless. Their cynicism is noted and ignored.

People want all the Murray threads to go away but they keep popping up because we haven't fixed the RB problem. Now we have 12m in cap space and no reliable RBs.

Earlier this year, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson hoped to secure his future in Minnesota beyond 2015. He now has. Sort of.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Peterson’s deal carries $20 million guaranteed at signing. Part of that amount is guaranteed for injury only, for now. The rest is fully guaranteed.

While the full details have been hard to nail down, common sense suggests that the Vikings fully guaranteed the $13 million Peterson was due to make in 2015, with the other $7 million being an injury-only guarantee until, for example, the start of the 2016 waiver period or the commencement of the 2016 league year.

This approach would force the Vikings to make an early decision in 2016 on whether to keep Peterson or to move on, preventing the Vikings from squatting on Peterson until after the big money has flowed in free agency and teams otherwise have made their plans for the next season. If the Vikings move on, they’ll move on early — and Peterson will be more likely to find a favorable landing spot for continuing his career.

Dont give up yet guys. The inevitable is only delayed by a year.

The difference is Murray was drafted and played for the Cowboys.

Peterson was attached to DAL more than any other player and team and it came from the player himself.

DAL signed one has-been RB in FA and didn't draft a single RB.

Our rushing attack and TOP were huge factors last year in our overall success and Romo's great season. I think too many people are fooling themselves about our running game.

Watch the trade deadline if the Vikings are struggling and the Cowboys aren't running the ball up to snuff.
