Hoov, that's a practical approach. But I'm hearing you commit to field goals as a primary scoring mechanism. Depending on the Eagles approach to that offensive strategy, if our defense is clicking like it has been in the last several games, your concentration should rely more on conversion versus punting.

Now that's strictly using your scenario. I do believe KeShawn will show up in bug game situations (NFC-East rivalry are always considered "big games"). While Sheldon Brown and Sheppard are both reliable in the flat, Michael Lewis and Dawkins will limit Mr. K. Johnson will limit attempts underneath and screens. That doesn't mean that KeShawn will not get his yards -- he will, but only if pressure is not applied to Bledsoe -- and if I know Jimmy Johnson (Eagles defensive coordinator), you can count on pressure in one form or another.

Could JJ be an x-factor ...maybe, but his last couple of games haven't been very potent. Stopping KC Chief's Preist was tough in the first half of our game against KC, but we figured it out. I don't think JJ has the experience of a priest.

If you win, it will be because of the brilliance of your offensive/schemes to shut down the Eagle machine On both sides of the ball. Trust me, you'll have your hands full -- but then so we will.

Good Hunting.

Eagles have to win now, while the Cowboys are a growing team. Eagles can' expect to be on top too too much longer. The law of averages catches up to you sooner or later. I hope home field advantage will have some effect though I am not sure.

well, dont want to see the team settle for field goals, i'm just saying that i think the eagles pass defense will win out the majority of the time and that our best chance for mismatches will be using TE or #3 wr, thats why those players better step it up for this game, its going to be hard to come by yards and convert 3rd downs and we'll need to take advantage of every opportunity.

There Is No Way The Eagles Should Have Won That Game Yesterday. Mcnab Was Throwing The Ball All Over The Yard. I'm Sure That Down 24-7 Parcells Would Have Been Still Trying To Establish The Run, Like Yesterday. The Chiefs Were Dominating The Line Of Scrimmage In The First Half Yesterday.

Parcells will open it up this weekend it's his style, he plays it close to the vest in games were the talent is equal, since we are outmatched in the talent area, he be forced to open it up. It's not bad in my opinion. We know Drew will be blitzed, all we can hope for is that we make them pay once in a while. My biggest concern is our lack of a running game, the O line gets zero amount of push. At least Mr Automatic David Akers is still out. I hope Bill activates the A Train to spell Julius,MB 3 is too young for that role. :suxiggle: :trophy: :disseags:

Do you mean screen pass and receptions underneath?

Trying to look at this from a Cowboys perspective is difficult at best, but I'll give it a shot. I don't think JJ or your running game is the answer. This game is where your air assault (good luck) and particularly your defense needs to show up. Turnovers, picks, sacks, maipulating fumbles and rushed passes and shutting down/defense against the WC style offense are approaches that could yield benefits -- but not stop the aggressive Eagle multi-dimensional offensive system. Inaccurate field goal attempts is nothing to hope for -- but if/ when you get them ...they're gravy.

Good hunting.
