Some notes from @JFowlerESPN’s article on Jalen Hurts:

- pushed back on changes that would diversify the scheme,

- wanted to avoid playing under center

- reluctant to let it rip at times, particularly against zone coverage

- poor body language, not always bought in

- not the most coachable and the players notice

- diverts from the game plan and changes playcalls to an excessive degree

Hurts has very real limitations. That limits their scheme and the plays they can run.

He just happens to play on an insanely stacked offense.

To his credit. He is clutch and isn’t afraid of big moments.

But his throwing limitations can and do hurt their offense.

Will be interesting to see how he plays in a Kyle Shanahan/Sean McVay offense (a lot of motion, under center QB, play action passes, crossing routes, throws inside the numbers, etc.).

Or will Mannion have to adjust his system to fit more of what Hurts likes or is more comfortable doing (Shotgun, limited motion, throws outside the numbers, and deep passes).

I suspect it will end up being more like the Kellen Moore experiment where there is some motion and under center stuff but the majority will be what Hurts has been running.

Exactly.......to his credit, he doesn't make many mistakes. Not sure I blame them if they decide to move on. He's likely peaked, won them a Super Bowl.....

Imagine being a New York Giants fan hearing and reading this story. Has to be like, OK, they have a real problem. Now, what’s ours?

In the last five seasons Philly is 56-22 with him starting regular season games. Hope they never get it their quarterback situation figured out.

Interesting how they are turning on him.......same as they did with Wentz. Just me, but I think Roseman is setting him up for a trade by 2027.
I don't think Howie wanted him in the first place.

Sure, if you want to give him credit for that record. Personally I don't.

Howie Roseman built a legit superteam, and all you had to do was man the driver's seat. These “sources” aren’t just rat poison they are real smoke. This is the same issue we saw at Alabama. When you can’t elevate the best athletes in the world around you, people start losing patience.

He didn't at first but Lurie forced his hand. Roseman was prepared to draft a QB after acquiring quite a bit of capital after Wentz was traded and killed it. Ordered him to surround Jaden with talent and see what happens. That's when he traded for AJ and drafted Smith. Everything took off from there until now...........

Hurts has looked the part and going to give him some slack for another year.

No mention of this leading back to the HC? AJ trade solves things? Is there more to this? Stay tuned kids, lol

He can actually talk about what a deep playoff run feels like. And give you a stat-line from playing in multiple Super Bowls and Championship games.

Dak could NEVER
