The Eagles losing in the Super Bowl does not prove that they have a poor process in place

The Cowboys won a post season game and they could win several next year. Are the Cowboys not 3 and 1 against the Eagles over the last 2 years?

They won a wildcard game against a 45 year old QB and 8-9 squad. When half the teams qualify for the tournament now-those wins mean less. The Cowboys have not made the NFCCG either year.

The Eagles won 2 games in the playoffs vs the Cowboys 1 and made the SB. If the Cowboys success meant something, they would have advanced further in the tournament in the past two years (at least to the final four). Those are the breaks.

Sorry-they lost and proved themselves pretenders both years. The Eagles were pretenders last year and contenders this year. If the 3-1 regular season record vs the Eagles meant something then the Cowboys would have defeated the SF team that the Eagles spanked.

Not true. They became NFC champions. Isn’t it the George Halas trophy? The Cowboys have not even appeared in that game in 27 years. The Eagles surpassed all Cowboy’s teams of the past 27 years seven times in that period.

because it sure ain't say "oh dallas made the sb we cant say anything"

and im not sure if youre saying the Giants are ahead of us as far as building their team.....if so then they aren't and they are every bit of a 7-10, 6-11 team, the ball bounced their way early last season ALOT which is the reason they started off so good but then fell off late in the year

The Eagles losing yesterday in the Super Bowl does not prove that they have a poor process in place (yes we are all happy they did not win-duh). Getting to the conference championship game or SB proves that the franchise built a legitimate contender.

Eagles have two first round picks, a franchise QB who costs nothing, and a team who made it to the SB by talent, not fluke.

They'll probably be the favorite in the NFC to make the SB the next couple of years.

The Eagles’ process has resulted in way more postseason success (not only for the past two seasons but the past 27 years) than the Cowboys’ process. These are actual facts that I’m arguing with.

Your counter is to point to the future season’s hypothetical results as means to back up the argument that the Cowboys’ process is somehow equal or superior to that of the Eagles’? Something that has not even happened versus something that actually has? Your were saying something about being full of it, lol?

Exactly. They literally turned over their team and got rid of wentz and havea 'completely different team' that they went to the superbowl with.

That's what great front offices do. They know how to manage players and get around the salary cap to put together teams that actually have a shot at winning superbowls.

Eagles will shed players and rearrange the chairs so that they will be competitive again very soon. Eagles went from being our punching bags to being in the Superbowl. You either have to have a generational talent at QB or an excellent FO that is willing to go all in if you want a superbowl.

They played it smarter, but similar to the Rams.
Rams actually made the SB with Goff, but thought he was holding them back. So, they ship his *** off, and with some luck win the SB last season.
Sure, they may be in purgatory but they set out to win the superbowl and did it.

I feel like the Cowboys ownership/GM gets too close with their players and puts relationships over hard roster moves until it's blatantly obvious that player has fallen off a cliff. They are too scared to face the unknown at times, so they just stay the course. See it in free agency. SJ plan of re-signing their own is great, but only if that player is worth the contract they want. And lately, their ROI on the guys they re-sign is no better than overpaying another teams FA.

If the Cowboys' playoff path would have been the Giants at home in the divisional round and the 49ers with Josh Johnson in the Championship Game they would have made the Super Bowl too.

The Eagles had a really good regular season. They should get no credit whatsoever for their playoff run. They were literally gifted a Super Bowl berth.

That’s fine. I made the point that people were trying to equate the teams in terms of how their processes matched up. Currently, the Cowboys’ process is way behind (and the proof is in the postseason).

Now you are moving the goalposts to a season that hasn’t happened. Nothing is certain. Not the distance between the two clubs, nor the success they will have with roster changes and new coaching this next season.
