I think the problem is Colt McCoy. I don't get the feeling that this kid is ready for big games like this. It's almost like he's too scared to throw downfield against good teams. This game is starting to feel like the Ohio State game earlier this year.

I wonder if UT's coaches have enough confidence in him to open up the playbook. They should scrap that zone read because McCoy isn't athletic enough to run it. Greg Davis needs to get a better feel for how to use him. Then again, maybe there isn't much there to use.

The second half though is where McCoy can change my mind. He's got to see the field better and make the downfield throws if the Longhorns want to go anywhere this season.

Good observations, TEAM. 2nd half is starting, let's see what halftime adjustments each team makes.

Paul Thompson is a pretty damn good quarterback. He has a strong arm with a nice touch and terrific mobility. Makes it difficult to understand why the Sooner nation was in mourning after Bomar got the axe before the start of this season. Bomar didn't play this well last season against UT in the Red River Shootout.

Of course after I write this, he sacrifices his wr with too high a throw, allowing the cb to lay him flat out. I guess the problem with Thompson is consistency (according to the announcers).

I was on a SCUBA "A"-Team in the US Army Special Forces for over 20 years. The Lar V "Draeger" is a subsurface rebreather that we used for water-based infils (sometimes for exfils too). The uniqueness of the Draeger is that it doesn't leave a signature (bubbles) on top of the water for the enemy to detect.

Yup, that was impressive. They ran McFadden and Jones all day and didn't ask Mitch Mustain, #1 QB recruit in the nation, to do much. Could Arkansas be a top 10 team by the end of this year or by next year?

I saw the end of that game. Arkansas ran the ball 32 out of its last 34 plays. It was impressive. Totally dominating at the LOS.

As a Sooner fan, these last few years have been excruciating. It's been a steady decline since Stoop's assistants have left for HC jobs and they just look inept nowadays,,, borderline STOOPID at times. It has to be the coaches, right? Surely the recruiting department would have options and brings in top recruits... I dunno about Stoops right now,,,,

The Oregon game, they were robbed. Inthis instance they were not robbed. They were down 11 points, 11 minutes left, and seem to be going no where. I would not say robbed.

Now, I do think it was a forward pass, but it was close.
