The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You...(OU v TX)

So did they give Texas the TD? That's a bad call. It was obvious the ball moved forward.

I've watched it 3 times now on my Tivo and the pass doesn't go forward. It doesn't go backwards either. It's a perfectly straight line from the qb to the receiver, but the problem with that is that the ball has to make forward progress in order not to be called a "backwards pass".

Ballgame :eek:wned:

Doesn't matter today.

well, you're the smart guy who started talkin history!! don't be going hypocritical on us while you enjoy your win,,,

Now that just makes me sad.

Poor little Sooner boy crying right now in the stands because his favorite team is losing. :(

I wish that some Longhorn football player would go over to console him. Tell him that it's okay to cry and give him a reassuring hug. Explain to the wee little lad that even the best teams have a bad day every now and then.

And finally, when the sweet little child has calmed down, I'd like to see that same Longhorn player point to the ground as a means to get the kid to look down. Then, when he's not looking, stomp the little brat and finish him off by raking his cleat across his forehead - with joyous shouts of, "HOOK'EM, HOOK'EM", while the little boy receives about 30 stitches.

Gosh, I'm just awful...;)

I lead a strange life in that I am a Dallas Cowboys fan for life but love the Sooners.

HA my prediction was right earlier in the thread and that the longhorns would win by 18(although i said 35-17) i think colt gets better and better after every game, its quite good to witness, now i hope our boys can finish off this weekend tomorrow!!

BTW i think mack is 4-5 against O WHO, hes catching up, lol

I'm sure that there is a simple explanation for it. Perhaps your mother dropped you on your head when you were a baby? ;)

OT: The Yankees are officially eliminated.

I'm two-thirds there to having my perfect trifecta. :D

im with ya on the trifecta, and auburn loosing was a lil icing on the cake

As an OU fan, I was sorely disappointed with this game.

I think the fans of Texas can be proud of their program. They have a very good one. I always thought Mack Brown got a little too much grief over some of the struggles there. Now, I think folks are seeing that this is a little more even than people realized.

The game was lost because of turnovers and lack of discipline by OU. That's been a little too common lately for that program. It bothers me a ton. I hate finesse football. I hate stupid football. That is exactly what OU is playing right now.

I would never try to blame the refs for tonight's game, but what is the deal with the officiating lately? I don't want a break from officials, so don't misunderstand me, but it's feeling a little too much like everything is going against the Sooners right now.

Anyway, it was a good win by Texas. Smart, disciplined football will usually win a game. It sure did today.

Last year after UT whipped up on OU the Cowboys whipped up on the Eagles 33 - 10 the following day.
A Boys win would make for an absolute perfect weekend!

This weekend has the makings of a perfect trifecta for me. My 'Horns are winning, the Yanks are about to be eliminated from the playoffs, and of course, my beloved Cowboys will crush the ea-girls tomorrow afternoon.

Life has never been more sweeter.

That's my idea of a good weekend, too... and my UTEP Miners won a close one against SMU...

OU just got JOBBED, again :banghead:

How many times is that going to happen to them this year?

Well, some they win, and some they lose
And the winners all grin, and the losers say
Deal the cards again
Oh, won't you deal the cards again??

Hoyt Axton (RIP)...
