  • Tony Romo outplayed Peyton Manning for four quarters.
  • Dez Bryant is the best WR in the NFL.
  • Tony Romo is the first QB in the franchise history to break 500 yards.
  • Claiborne is seemingly utilizing his benching as motivation, he looked better.
  • Selvie needs to be resigned.
  • Our offensive line is fantastic.
  • Terrance Williams should be able to take over WR2 duties full time by next season.

The problem is our defense is playing like our offense did for the past 5 years, we have all the pieces but we can't put the puzzle together. They aren't playing as a team. Our offense has jelled completely, I'd argue we have the third best offense in the league this season after Denver and New Orleans. Our defense has let us down, but I don't believe it's the scheme or the players, I think it's chemistry. Might sound like a load of horse manure but it's true. No Spencer, no Ratliff. Selvie and Hatcher emerged instantaneously, Doug Free is playing eight times better than he did last year - our coaching is doing a lot right.

Ultimately we lost by a field goal to the best team in the league. We're the best team in the NFCE by a dozen miles. After what I saw today as long as our defense starts playing like a unit; come January the league better watch out.

Selvie resigned to a 2 year deal earlier and Claiborne still scares me. Otherwise I agree with all these facts

2 year? Really, when? I'm unaware. Even so we should lock him up long term at the large discount we'll get right now as opposed to the end of the season.

One more fact: the Broncos have a punter. He will receive a game check today for putting on his uniform and standing on the AT&T Stadium sideline for three hours and thirteen minutes.

And people will blame Tony Romo, not the Dallas defense, for the loss.

If the defense comes together we will be dangerous. By that I mean we will have a team that is capable of multiple post season wins. I won't put any guarantees down or specify a round but I will say that I have never been more confident in this team after a loss.

No punts forced. That is a huge disappointment. When was the last time a team did not force a single punt in a game?

I could have swore I saw that here on the board. Don't quote me on it though

You highlighted a number of the positives worth noting. There is a lot to like with the offense. The problem is a team with a defense like the one the Cowboys putting on the field has zero chance of going anywhere in the playoffs.

The defensive facts:

The Cowboys are on pace to have one of the worst 5 defenses in the entire history of the NFL
The Cowboys are on pace to give up somewhere north of 5475 yards passing
The Cowboys are on pace to give up 45 passing TDs

I don't think Tony played better than Peyton just because he threw for more yards. Still he played very well till that INT. Peyton pretty much did whatever he wanted. Same thing he's been doing all year.

I would not say Dez was the best. One of the best. Definitely needs to learn to hold on to the ball but he played great. He's actually been as good. as advertised.

The most important thing to me is the way Terrance Williams played. I feel comfortable with him as the #2 receiver and Beasley in the slot.

Philadelphia lost to Denver 52-20. We better win the division.

One thing to remember is: the Cowboys are the fifth team Denver has done this to.

Defense has pieces? We are plaing with lineman off the street. Ware is hurt regularly, carter and Claiborne have played terrible church and Wilcox look lost and we have given up 400 yards passing in 3 games..things are looking up on defense...

I wish I could like this more than once.

every coach in the NFL is laughig and he wants what from them? omg, The last time i laughed that hard was this board telling me Dunbar was good and going to provide something special

Your head coach left your qb out to dry and you think other NFL hcs are going to take this team serious. The way you beat dallas is you wait til the following week, they are going to do something wrong all you have to do is keep it close.

Fact #1 should be the team lost...
