No punts forced. That is a huge disappointment. When was the last time a team did not force a single punt in a game?

we only punted once......two teams, 60 minutes, 99 pts, over 1000 yds, 4 turnovers, 1 punt

  • Tony Romo outplayed Peyton Manning for four quarters.
  • Dez Bryant is the best WR in the NFL.
  • Tony Romo is the first QB in the franchise history to break 500 yards.
  • Claiborne is seemingly utilizing his benching as motivation, he looked better.
  • Selvie needs to be resigned.
  • Our offensive line is fantastic.
  • Terrance Williams should be able to take over WR2 duties full time by next season.
The problem is our defense is playing like our offense did for the past 5 years, we have all the pieces but we can't put the puzzle together. They aren't playing as a team. Our offense has jelled completely, I'd argue we have the third best offense in the league this season after Denver and New Orleans. Our defense has let us down, but I don't believe it's the scheme or the players, I think it's chemistry. Might sound like a load of horse manure but it's true. No Spencer, no Ratliff. Selvie and Hatcher emerged instantaneously, Doug Free is playing eight times better than he did last year - our coaching is doing a lot right.

Ultimately we lost by a field goal to the best team in the league. We're the best team in the NFCE by a dozen miles. After what I saw today as long as our defense starts playing like a unit; come January the league better watch out.

Not for 4 Quarters, for 3 quarters and 12 minutes....That's the difference.....

Another tidbit - This was the fourth-highest-scoring game of all time, and the second-highest this century, falling short of a 58-48 tilt between the Bengals and Browns in 2004.

Agree with all except Claiborne. Yes, he did have a pick but it was a serious underthrow, other than that, Peyton and Decker worked on him all day long

I thought the same. Claiborne is going to have more chances a picks because opposing QBs have identified him as the week link at CB and they relentlessly throwing his direction.

He'll need to hold up better in pass coverage in order in order to gain many kudos.

The defensive facts:

The Cowboys are on pace to have one of the worst 5 defenses in the entire history of the NFL
The Cowboys are on pace to give up somewhere north of 5475 yards passing
The Cowboys are on pace to give up 45 passing TDs

Holy crap!

Facts are that the Commanders come in next week and Dallas has the chance to knock them down to 1-4 while getting back to .500 and staying on top of the Division. They need to do that.

Not only that, but the skins would be 0-4 in the NFC. 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the NFC would be extremely difficult to overcome.
