Twitter: The Fan Draft Board - Broaddus, Cavanaugh, Turner (By Position)

His athleticism alone means he's better than a 4th round safety. This is just a guy trying to out think himself here. I could understand saying Peppers might be a 2nd round guy but 4th? LOL.
You obviously have a good point. He's not lasting until the fourth round. But I also respect the fact the guy was basically a nickel linebacker/running back in college so he will be drafted based on sheer projection - which is why I don't want him at 28.

I just don't love Tim Williams as much as they do.

And since the combine, Carl Lawson has really fallen down the draft board for me. The guy would probably make a hell of a Dick Lebeau OLB, but his lack of size/length is concerning at DE.

But these guys put in way more work than I do, and they've collectively been pretty damn good at their projections over the last 3 or so years.

I'm higher than most on Lawson. I think health is his only potential barrier to success.

Tim Williams has the highest pressure rate per play of any player in this draft.
Now that's partly because you can;t double team Bama guys but he's a stud aside from his off-the-field stuff which makes him undraftable for me.

I can see that too. I think he compares a bit to Melvin Ingram who is a good player, so it's not like he can't overcome his size.

Don't get me wrong, I think Williams is good player. I just think he's another Bruce Irvin who I'm not a huge fan of.

I would absolutely take Bruce Irvin on this team, but because of the baggage I would have him as a 'take a flyer guy' after my first three rounds.

He won't be there, but that's how I'd approach it.

I hope everyone sleeps on Kupp for three rounds but I don't see it. This kid will have the most productive NFL career out of all those guys listed.

I don't know he looks overrated to me. Of course he will succeed if he goes to the Pats, but otherwise he does look like a third rounder and destined to have an average career.

Hansen and Godwin are far better second day options in my opinion.

Interesting. They were really high on Nyquillas Dillward a few weeks ago. I don't see him on there.

Peppers was toasted at an incredible rate in coverage.
Peppers is an R1 athlete and all-around player but he is not a good safety on tape, yet.

There is a good breakdown on this which describes the role he was asked to take as a LB. Basically he was in a zone without a lot of help because they blitzed a lot. In man coverage he was more than up to the task.

Stats without context are meaningless particularly football coverage stats.

And I am not a fan of setting up a draft board like that. We are picking 28 and this set up is like we are drafting at 15 or better.

Each draft is different from a talent pool and draft order situation and doing it the same every time particularly this way is setting yourself for disappointment.

IT is a little hard to explain away a grand total of ONE TURNOVER in college.
