The Foolsgold Cowboys

I have to admit I was expecting a loss. The offseason was terrible. The distractions even leading up to the game. But they surprised me. I was thoroughly entertained. All three phases played lights out. Kudos to all.
Me too. I had picked the Browns . Big upset for us against a playoff team from last year and #1 defense. Something we normally don’t fare well against especially on the road. Maybe the Browns will suk this year. We shall see.

Not necessarily . Unless Browns turn out to be a non playoff or below .500 team this year.

The Cowboys mantra has been bullying up on bad teams not playoff teams or top defenses which the Browns were last year.
The Browns have a non existent offense, when has Dallas struggled with teams like that?

Yes. Everyone needs to remember. Nothing counts except the superbowl. These “regular season” wins are stupid. So don’t enjoy them ever. Concentrate on the playoff losses over the years and never forget!

This will make you a better person, fan, spouse and CZ member.
Thank you.
Context is everything. Since it's game 1 we can't truly put the performance in it's true prospective because the sample size is way too small

What we can do though, is know that we outplayed them in almost every way possible and enjoy it for what it was.....1 game.

It's a marathon, not a sprint but if anybody wants to read too much into it one way or the other , that's their prerogative.

But man, i still can't get over Zeke hurdling that dude!

Maybe their struggles on offense had more to do with our defense?

Regardless , we were underdogs on the road for a reason. They were a playoff team and #1 defense.
Maybe their struggles on offense had to do with missing two tackles, starting rb, and having arguably the worst starting qb in the league

Worst starting QB in the league?

Fans here were telling us that we had to trade for him to replace the QB we have now.

Right, the postseason is how Dak and this team will be judged. Are they gonna have success or are they gonna go into the fetal position once again with all kinds of excuses?

But let’s enjoy the regular season for now and watch how the team develops.
30 years of playoff futility did lead to this. This team has to do well in the playoffs to get the stink off. I even think the playoff success needs to be sustained. Yesterday was a good win. Let’s see what happens.

The gang looked great. No real surprise there. Will they get tired and decide it is better to just go home at the end of the year? Probably.

Enjoy the win for what it is. Dominant win against a talented team on paper.

I’m sure their injuries played a role . But we had some injuries as well. And had several Rookies starting. No doubt several contributing factors .

Yea, first I’ve heard Watson is worst starting QB in the league. I’m sure there’s some teams out there who wouldn’t concur.

This was a team win, D, special teams, enough Off contributors.

As Dak proponents like to argue, it takes team support.....and sunday dak got it.

After initial CD burst, Clev adjusted and limited him. Other guys stepped up enough.

We played what is supposed to be a quality opponent and didn't crap the bed. I am cautiously optimistic for the rest of the season.
