I'm just going to enjoy the regular season. By playoff time the Mavs will be playing, so it'll be a smooth segway.

Some people seem incapable of multi tasking
they can only look at something one way and hate anyone who does not
one can enjoy the victory and realize the problems there
those unable to do anything but cheer no matter what are the minions
no, some of us just get tired of the constant whining. I wish we had an area just for people that want to complain about winning the lottery.

Most of us have learned it doesn’t take much for the Cowboys to become complacent. One of the biggest problems with the team is handling success. We got off to a tremendous start last season after the first two games and got full of ourselves. A lot of fans brought in too soon and got burned after the embarrassing loss to a bad AZ team. That’s when I knew there wasn’t anything different about the team. We’ll see how many games into the season before the Cowboys decide to take a game off. If they keep winning they might have a tough time getting up for the Giants. The big concern with the Cowboys is staying motivated.

I say it every year and I will continue to say it, we’ll see where we are when December arrives. If the team is going to get anywhere in the playoffs, they have to be playing their best football in December. Peaking in October/November then falling off in December will lead to the same disappointments. Last season you could see the cracks forming against Seattle and Detroit. In December we lost to Buffalo and Miami. How we’re playing in December will be the key to this season.
.
This is the NFL, not college. You ever hear of that expression, "On any given Sunday?" Where do you think that came from? i dont care who the team is, you can lose. Losing to the cards didnt show complacency, it showed this isnt college football. The Chiefs were 6-1 on a 6 game win streak last year and got smacked by the lowly broncos. Does that make the Chiefs complacent?

The way we had played the first two games of last season, it did show complacency the way we got manhandled by AZ in week three. We had it way too easy in the first two games. The Cowboys were favored by two TDs. It happens to the Cowboys practically every season where they decide not to show up for a game against a bad team. There was no excuse to look as bad as they did in that game. It was embarrassing. It was obvious after that game we were going to get destroyed by San Francisco. Everyone knows the NFL is an any given Sunday league, but the Cowboys never seem committed to being the best. They never look like a team that’s on a mission.

When the 6-1 Chiefs got beat by Denver i’m sure they didn’t take the Broncos seriously. They weren’t up for that game and it showed but they rebounded and started playing their best football when it mattered most. It took only two weeks for the Cowboys to get smacked again by San Francisco. That’s when it became a real obvious we weren’t going anywhere. No way were we going to get past the 49ers.

SMH..... again, you must not watch the entire league. 1981, Cowboys got CRUSHED by th eNiners early in the season.... DESTROYED. Played again in NFC title game and lost by 1 point in a game they could have won. It is the NFL. Sometimes you just lose. Sometimes you just get crushed. Makes no difference who you are. But because you lost to a bad team, you think the team prepared less? You think they thought it was an easy game? Again, if you believe that, then we should see the better teams consistently win in the NFL, but that isnt the way it works.

The Eagles last year were 3-0 and playing the sorry commanders/ They should have lost, but squeaked out a 34-31 OT win. You think they woul dhave learned their lesson, right? Nope, 2 weeks later they got beat by th epathetic Jets. Again, this isnt college.

This has nothing to do with the 81 Cowboys or anyone else. This discussion has to do with our current teams that aren’t committed to being the best they can be. You wasted your time on that post.

Another year.. Another Cowboys team that looks awesome but a dark cloud from previous seasons still hangs over this franchise.

The games are fun but it’s all for nothing if we get to the post season and have our typical no show.

The first thing Brady said about Dak was about his lack of post season success.

So be excited. The Cowboys have a championship caliber roster.

But..

The dark cloud doesn’t leave until we do something in the post season.

Dallas looked like the most impressive team to me today and it wasn’t really close.

Keep in mind we were road underdogs.
I'm glad I read this. I'll not watch another game until the playoffs. If they even make it there...

Fans place far too much weight on winning championships. It’s not all their fault. The media over hypes winning the gold .

There used to be something said for being a contender. In the NFL 16 now 17 meaningful games which lead to postseason appearance used to be the benchmark for success.

Winning or playing for championships was more of cream rising or gravy on top. Not the total measurement of success.
How old are you bc you come off as a young puppy or were you part of what has become participation trophy

Cowboys simply can't beat the Niners or Packers when it counts. Eagles/Lions/Rams are 50/50 at best. McCarthy poor clock management always comes to the forefront.
