Without a doubt this defensive front seven will have to develop into something much better to compete with GreenBay/ Denver/ Indy,,, there is hope though, half of those guys are either coming off big injuries or they're inexperienced, so there's potential yet to be realized.

The loss to the Skins is reason for concern then followed by the loss to the Cards. This CAN be a very good team, but its not automatic. Better to sit back, watch each week w/o big expectations and enjoy it when they win. If they go on to do something it will be great. Anything more and you set yourself up to be let down - we've gotta pretty good track record for that.

Loses hurt but it is not uncommon around this league to see a poor team like the skins jump up in a game and bite you. It is very hard to maintain great play for 16 games. I think this bye comes at a perfect time, this team is getting banged up and I think mentally exhausted (I know I am, lol) I think this team knew very well how important that Jacksonville game was to be sitting at 7-3 and getting a chance to re-energize.

I'm never concerned about setting myself up for Disappointment I'm all in with this team, win or lose

Yes, every team has those games where one says...*** just happened.
Look at the Jets beating the Steelers last week, after big ben's back to back games of 6 TD's.

It's what teams do to rebound from it. Last year we may not have beaten the Jaguars after 2 losses, or may have barely beat them. This year they did what they were supposed to do. Beat them, and dominated after they got going.

Bye week at perfect time. Rest, heal, plan, for the stretch run.

"Take it now or never."

Today we find out 49ers Willis is out for the year as is Seahawks' Mebane.

Giants stink and have major injuries, the Commanders locker room is in turmoil and they don't have a QB, the Eagles QB is out for 2 months and their oline continues to suffer injuries.

The Falcons, Saints and Panthers are all underachieving greatly this year. Bears are the 2010 Dallas Cowboys. And I don't care how good Bruce Arians is, you're not going deep into the playoffs with Drew Stanton, chalk up your L.

Guys, do you not see what's going on here in the NFC this year? I thought last season was the perfect opportunity for the Cowboys to make noise but we all know how that ended. Some how the football Gods have been merciful and blessed us with yet another clear path to at least the NFC title game. After years of stability, you're not going to get the NFC in this much chaos and disarray ever again (at least for this core of Cowboys). Meanwhile the Cowboys have been realitvely healthy (where have the hamstrings gone?) and the team chemistry hasn't been this high in 15 years (who would have ever thought we'd see the Landry Shift again!). I really hope the players take this bye week to acknowledge the great opportunity that is in front of them and finally seize it!

I agree that some things seem to be falling into place this year, where in previous years they fell apart, but things can change from week to week in this league.

Maybe this year, JJ's deal with the devil's contract is up. Or he made another one to lift the Jimmy Curse.....

You forgot that the Detroit Lions look like a juggernaut and Aaron Rodgers appears to be possessed by a mythological God sent to Earth to play quarterback.

Detroit looks like a juggernaut? They're winning, yes, but juggernauts don't have so many tight games at the end (Buffalo, NO, Atlanta, Miami).

Yeah Detroit looks like the most complete team in the league to me. And they've done much of their winning this past month without the unquestioned most unstoppable offensive weapon in football in Calvin.

One game at a time. But if this team can get better rather than regress thru the rest of the season its not far fetched at all to think about it.

This team is already playoff good, IMO. It just needs consistency and reduce the mistakes. They're that close.
