Because she believes they were wreckless. You have to consider it from a citizen's point of view, the Avengers are like a private army with nukes and they're financed by a private citizen the world knows, Tony Stark.

The beauty of Civil War is that you can understand both points of view. Stark is an established businessman and wants to make the Avengers legit. Steve Rodgers is a man out of time with no real ties to anyone and was betrayed by the last organization he showed loyalty to, S.H.I.E.L.D.

Rewatching Captain America Civil war on Netflix. Got a question...why in the heck does that mother who works for the state department blame tony stark for the death of her son, when the avengers fought to save slokovia and the earth. Stupid

You save the entire human race from being conquered by an alien race, and ummmm they wanna hate on you. If anything, golden statues and parks should be erected in your honor. You didn't just save one persons life, but the entire freaking earth

Consider their size and the raw materials it takes to build them. I would guess that the metal from many of those different colored panels of the hull came from different planets and weren't all 100% uniform in molecular makeup, affecting the coloration slightly. It's probably the same for paints. Remember: In space, nobody can hear you paint.
