Who knows exactly what we have in Zeke this year , sure he is incredibly talented . But do we have a disgruntled out of shape party guy waiting for a pay day . Hard to believe we have a hungry guy with say Adrian Petersons work ethic and dedication to the game and his craft.

What we do know is we have some hungry RBs on this roster that would drown Zeke in a puddle to get his job . Guys that are going to go all out not be disgruntled business decision makers .

Jerry is a Gambler and it might be worth letting this one play out . With this Oline healthy we need 4yrds a shot and 100 yrds a game by who ever is running the ball . Don't repeat last yrs mistake and not play any of the starters . Play these guys and see if we can run the ball when everybody knows we are running it like we did before . See if a guy distinguishes himself from the pack .

Find out who trained to be the next James Conner in the off season . Zeke has a lot of baggage and a lack of work ethic for me to be all in on him . Its a gamble but at this point so is expecting him to be our savior with no training camp and supposedly working out in Cabo

Yes and how nice would it be to find a team oriented guy who would be happy to work for say 5x that much . Jerry stuck by Zeke and Im not saying he should not be paid but not a sum that is going to hurt the team especially when he is under contract and not fulfilling his obligation .

Jerry has always been a fair guy if Zeke was fair with him and didn't try and hurt the team with unreasonable demands Jerry would see he was taken care of well

Only 22 points the first three games (losses), but 88 points in the last three (wins).

Let's not forget Chaz Green's impact as well. He got Adrian Clayborn paid in the first game w/o Zeke. It's no coincidence Tyron Smith was back for those 3 wins.

I don't disagree with that. But paying him is also going to make this team weaker in the long run. Yes, you gain a great RB, but he's also going to suffer when you can't keep the OL together because "he got his". It's a double edged sword...
