The Future QB of the Cowboys is...

Sounds great, we can guarantee getting him by going 0-16. Heck, we wouldn't even have to give up an draft picks to move up and get him.

I love it.

Heck, we can go 0-16 from here on in and get any player we want.

Just think ... had we done that over the past ten years, think of the amazing players we'd have on this team.

Well considering how much you hated our draft and offseason moves I would have thought 0-16 was a lock this year

Damn....apparently we're gonna be awful this season.

That can't be good.

Really.

The Cowboys would have to have the worst season imaginable in order to draft Quinn...And he's no better the Smith anyway.:D

Haha, yeah... Maybe we can get them to change the rules and we can draft him straight out of HS, when he graduates.. next year.

I agree. I think the Cowboys should give two #1s and two #2s to draft Brady Quinn. Definitely a good decision and great value. Go for it! :)

Brady Quinn!!!

Think about it. He is being trained in a pro-style offense very similar to that of the Cowboys. Also, he is being trained by Charlie Weiss, former assistant to Parcells. This should make for a smooth transition to the NFL. In other words, Quinn would be the perfect fit in Big D.

However, it would take a king's ransom for the 'Boys to trade up to get him in next year's draft. I think it would take the 'Boys 1st and 2nd picks in 2007 and 1st and 2nd picks in 2008 but it would be worth it in my opinion.

What do you guys think?
Make the madness stop!!!

If Buffalo starts JP Losman all season they'll be my pick to be drafting 1st. But IMO Troy Smith will give Brady Quinn a major run for his money to be the the 1st QB selected.

The thing is, if Romo and/or Henson is looking good, why waste years of development and a boat load of picks on another QB? And what if we win the SB or go deep in the playoffs this year? Could we extend Bledsoe at that point? He's 34 not 38. Lots of hay to put in the silo before we need to worry about this one.

It is Henson or Romo - I am not saying they will be a franchise QB or anything special, but 1 of them is next in line!

Henson or Romo - Book it.
Until we draft a QB high, you are right. Even though I know it chaps some people's butts.

Our next qb is already on the roster

Jeff Mroz *ducking for cover* :D

:laugh2: I was just thinking this after reading about him working out with Chris Palmer

I would like to see us go 0-16 this year just to get Brady Quinn.

I will take a bad year to have a franchise QB for the next 12 yrs.

Be prepared to duck, and I'm not talking quack.

I still believe that Romo could develop into something, and the best thing this young italian stallion has got going for him right now is sitting on the bench watching a veteran like Bledsoe do his thing on the field each week. I can't wait to see him in action again in Oxnard in a few months.

As for Mroz, The Answer's scouting report on him says that he has great leadership in the huddle and was the best pocket passer in the Ivy League. He's a tall QB at 6'4 with a strong arm, puts zip on the ball and knows how to find the deep receivers. Very intelligent in the pocket, tons of upside. As far as his negatives he's pretty immobile and can't escape the rush, also needs to improve his elongated throwing motion.

Don't forget he worked out with Chris Palmer before the draft and impressed as well....might be a poor man's Drew Bledsoe in the making. A few years on the practice squad and he might be a player....Henson/Romo look out!

Half to laugh at anyone who thinks Troy Smith is even close to Quinn as a Pro QB prospect.

I don't think our future QB is on our roster at VR or in NFLE.

Where's the obligatory "Henson has more physical tools than Quinn, Romo and Mroz, plus he has pedigree," post?

MROZ is a very interesting possibility. He has the measureables and certainly the intelligence- BUT does he have the "it" that makes a good or even great Pro QB? Not likely- but you never know.
It is true that so many fall in love with the strong arm, mobile guys- but it is in the head that great QB's are great- not the body. Of all the great QB's, outside of Elway who had the total package of arm, body and legs and the head as well?

If I had a cyrstal Ball that could tell me that Brady Quinn will be the greatest QB of all time in the NFL I would agree about having 1 bad season. However there is no way of know how Quinn or any young QB will do.
