Well it had better pick it up! I'm going to the Commanders game next weekend and I'm going to have a blast there even if no one else is into it!

I have been to one game this year and I expected the place to be rocking. It was not unfortunately. For a stadium of our size, we still don't make that much noise and I, for one, am sick of all the tired old piped in music at all the stadiums. Most teams play the same songs, etc. What do we have to do to get more team chants, etc going?
I don't know maybe I am just getting tired of the sterileness of the NFL in general. Though I am no fan of Ochocinco, fining him 20,000 is beyond ridiculous. It was a joke. The celebration rule is ridiculous as well. I am not for taunting the other team but fans love endzone dances, etc. It is supposed to be entertainment, yet the game itself is becoming a bore and watching a game on television is becoming harder and harder. It seems like there is a commercial after every freaking play.

Isn't the star at midfield WAY too damn small?

All I can say is that it'll be interesting if and when that actually happens.cowboyz;3075683 said:yes.
it's just a corporate game now anyway.

someone on here posted a little while back that there are only an average of 15 minutes of actual gameplay being played in a game... and of course the games go well over 3 hours most times

15 minutes of football>90+ minutes of soccer:xWraithx;3076110 said:as in, if you add up all of the time where the ball is actually in play (moving), it's only about 15 minutes per game on average

That statement in itself is why, even though I prefer pro football, the college atmosphere is ten times better. The fans there are having a legitimately good time. In the NFL you pay astronomical amount of money for a game that far too often is boring. When I shell out big time bucks, I want big time entertainment. Instead you know have a league where the fans sit on their hands half the time. There are so many stoppages in play, it makes much of the game anticlimatic. You fine guys for doing things like (gasp) making a snow angel in the snow, yet you contradict yourself when players like Jared Allen go to their knees for a sack celebration (and I have no problem what he does), you protect quarterbacks so much it is ridiculous, and then continue to raise ticket prices and then want to ***** when games are not sold out. I, for one, salute places like Jacksonville, who have evidently said enough. Yet, when I am flipping channels I see places like Gainsville, Florida have a rocking good time at their college games. I can't help but think a little bit more of that would be great for the NFL but instead of a good old team chant, affordable prices, etc. apparently Jerry Jones putting women on a pole like you are going to a porn house, is more "high quality" entertainment. It is funny how if you are going to go to an NFL game, places like Pittsburgh and Green Bay kick our *** when it comes to atmosphere, despite our claims we have the most fans.
I don't know that it's going to happen...but it wouldn't surprise you? The NFL is loaded with greed, tapping into the European market would be great from a monetary standpoint.DallasEast;3075645 said:Do you really believe that the NFL will host a Super Bowl overseas? Just asking.
