Well it had better pick it up! I'm going to the Commanders game next weekend and I'm going to have a blast there even if no one else is into it!

First off I was at the Dallas VS Atlanta game and let me tell you, its was definately an awesome game to attend the atmosphere was great the noise was loud on defense and quiet on offense just like its supposed to be. I have no idea where these complaints are coming from.

Since this is stadium related...

Isn't the star at midfield WAY too damn small?

I hate to say it but despite the increased seating and all of the state of the art technology, the gameday atmosphere is still lacking. I have been to one game this year and I expected the place to be rocking. It was not unfortunately. For a stadium of our size, we still don't make that much noise and I, for one, am sick of all the tired old piped in music at all the stadiums. Most teams play the same songs, etc. What do we have to do to get more team chants, etc going?

I don't know maybe I am just getting tired of the sterileness of the NFL in general. Though I am no fan of Ochocinco, fining him 20,000 is beyond ridiculous. It was a joke. The celebration rule is ridiculous as well. I am not for taunting the other team but fans love endzone dances, etc. It is supposed to be entertainment, yet the game itself is becoming a bore and watching a game on television is becoming harder and harder. It seems like there is a commercial after every freaking play.

What game did you attend? I've been to all but the Seattle game, and it was rocking for all of them.

Here we go again with this nonsense that I thought died with Texas stadium. This is a myth pure and simple, perpetrated most commonly by the same types of people that come here and complain about us having the worst fans, and telling anyone who gets discouraged by bad play to "turn in their fan card. Got news for you, and those of your ilk. You don't have, nor will ever have exclusive rights to the Cowboys as fans. Just forget about it, stop trying to create a untruthful myth, and move on.

No. It touches the same yard lines as the old one did. It's the same size. Unless you meant that it's always been too small?

Isn't it the exact same star? As in, it was transplanted from Texas Stadium?

yes.

it's just a corporate game now anyway.
All I can say is that it'll be interesting if and when that actually happens.

if anything were to ruin the NFL for me, it would be the ungodly amount of commercials (it's beyond ridiculous, laughable even) and of course, horrible officiating with regards to QB's.

someone on here posted a little while back that there are only an average of 15 minutes of actual gameplay being played in a game... and of course the games go well over 3 hours most times

I don't really get what the OP wants. I was at the Seattle game with my oldest son and it was great. The fans were yelling and cheering and there was a lot of energy in the stadium. Our seats were pretty high up (just above the Lux Suites) but we had a good view of the field and with the big screen replays we still got the close-up views. I had a great time and the game was pretty good.

I admit I don't remember the specific plays as well for that game as I do for the ones on TV because I was drinking more beer and yelling and cheering with the rest of the fans. We were having so much fun that we hung around in the Party Pass area until they practically had to run us out. Overall it was a great game day experience for us.

While I agree that the restrictions on end zone celebrations is overly restrictive; I am not one for all of the choreographed group dances and crap. But I didn't see anything wrong with the stuff like pretending the ball was a camera or using it for a pillow or serving it up like a waiter carrying a tray. Creative spontaneous fun stuff is fine but the line has to be drawn somewhere or you get the XFL crap and the game becomes a sideshow.

If you want a good atmosphere watch college football. I love the Cowboys but the NFL just isn't as fun. There's the lack of atmosphere, and on TV too many commercials.

15 minutes of football>90+ minutes of soccer:p:

The moon must be full tonight. Team chants are for college football, huh? That statement in itself is why, even though I prefer pro football, the college atmosphere is ten times better. The fans there are having a legitimately good time. In the NFL you pay astronomical amount of money for a game that far too often is boring. When I shell out big time bucks, I want big time entertainment. Instead you know have a league where the fans sit on their hands half the time. There are so many stoppages in play, it makes much of the game anticlimatic. You fine guys for doing things like (gasp) making a snow angel in the snow, yet you contradict yourself when players like Jared Allen go to their knees for a sack celebration (and I have no problem what he does), you protect quarterbacks so much it is ridiculous, and then continue to raise ticket prices and then want to ***** when games are not sold out. I, for one, salute places like Jacksonville, who have evidently said enough. Yet, when I am flipping channels I see places like Gainsville, Florida have a rocking good time at their college games. I can't help but think a little bit more of that would be great for the NFL but instead of a good old team chant, affordable prices, etc. apparently Jerry Jones putting women on a pole like you are going to a porn house, is more "high quality" entertainment. It is funny how if you are going to go to an NFL game, places like Pittsburgh and Green Bay kick our *** when it comes to atmosphere, despite our claims we have the most fans.

I see what You're trying to say but it couldnt of been that bad that you had to make a rant out of it....personally I dont like that Jerry is Making a club out the stadium, but who gives a damn...As long as the Cowboys play in it I will support them.

I don't know that it's going to happen...but it wouldn't surprise you? The NFL is loaded with greed, tapping into the European market would be great from a monetary standpoint.

I went to the Seattle game. It was fun. People cheered when they were supposed to. Celebrated when they were supposed to. Screamed to hype the D when they were supposed to.

Not sure what most people expect. It was fun. The stadium is great and I had fun.

Only gripe I had is similar to others...need better score placements. The scroll in the corners of the stadium is too small to follow if you just want a quick look.

this thread is a huge pile of fail. it's just never good enough for some people.

if you think the new stadium is boring it's probably b/c YOU YOURSELF are boring. Cowboys stadium is without question the best stadium in the country. just enjoy it.

I believe Goodell will make a serious push for it. Whether the owners will allow for it is another thing. But I believe Goodell will make a serious push for it. Personally, I think it's an abomination that we have regular season games overseas.
