The Garrett bashing is trite, tired, and lacking in truth

No. 2-6 would in all likelihood be too much. But I also don't think we'll be winless with either QB as our opponents will be easier and the team around them will be a lot better.

Regardless, at this point I think Cassell probably goes in if for no other reason than to try to give is a spark offensively. Even if they're not sure he's an improvement.

We shall see.

I'll feel better with Cassell, as I've said from the beginning, but that doesn't assure anything, of course.

To be perfectly honest I don't believe Weeden wins against the Giants or the Eagles, and definitely wouldn't against the Seahawks. So if they do stick with him then I don't see anything better than 3-6 by the time Romo returns.

lets be honest, its out of frustration and everyone wants to see if Garrett can do anything to show the fans "I might lose, but at least im trying" i would have way mroe respect for him if he did that. Lets face it, after teh second loss, you pull Weeden.

I can sympathize. I'm frustrated with the losses, too. But I think all along the bye week is where you make the QB change if you're going to make it.

I also don't think Cassell would have gotten us past the Pats anyway. In which case you'd be sitting at the bye with no real levers to pull in the same three game skid. That would be worse.

So if New England was missing Brady, Gronk, and Lewis yesterday, it would have made no difference, right?

Learn football, dude.

I think the result would be the same. They have depth, we don't. They're playing with a pair of 6' white guys at WR and killing teams.

it would have been 8 three and outs if not for a penalty

That's true. Even on the field goal drive we had we were saved by a penalty that would have otherwise been yet another 3 and out.

But at least the offense did something on that drive with the second chance.

The '08 Pats had Wes Welker and Randy Moss. Other than that...yeah, not much.

Those 2 wins came at the expense of teams who have combined for two wins all season.

Why would anyone who has actually seen Weeden play have any faith in the guy?

Oh yeah. I forgot Moss was still there then. Yep. My bad.

Tell me how many wins the Saints had again before they played Dallas? Oh...yeah. They hadn't won. So don't try that BS for why the Colts shouldn't get credit.

And I don't know why anyone ever did have faith in Weeden. I said it from the start that we wouldn't win with him at QB. I have had zero faith in him since Arizona last year.

I think this debate is over. Only fans of other teams love us having Garrett.

Hey star ! I know N.O. fans and NE fans and Atlanta fans love us having JG.
But it is good to complain about JG, but to JG fans, he isnt going anywhere and hopefully he will change some of his ways, but I doubt it.
He is our HC for the next 5 years so we just have to deal with it.

He did surprise me with the run thing last year, but now has reverted somewhat, and that is partly the jones boys fault, by letting murray go, and
not signing dez back in may so he could go thru camp and get in shape.

I think if Murray stayed and dez signs earlier they would be 5-0 right now , and on their way to SB. They had the right players and formula, and they
changed it up by letting murray go and not keeping callahan, and signing dez too late.
All that led to a romo injury and where we are now.

Well, I don't think they stick with him based off of how they're answering the QB questions, anyway. So you'll probably get your wish.

Now's the time to play Cassell if you're ever going to do it. We could use the spark.

Agreed.

Hopefully Cassell can get us a few W's in here. If he can help us beat the Giants, Philly, and Tampa I'll be pretty dang happy.

That would give us 5 when Romo comes back and I'd be thrilled with that.

not disagreeing. I would do a few things differently, and i doubt i would have praised the draft the same way, overall im not mad at the draft, but i think its clear the organization is dumb founded over the back up QB and knowing Romo woudl go down that should have been a big priority as well,

Nce seeing you my friend.

The Saints had a future HoF QB; the Colts faced Bortles and Mallett/Hoyer. Not quite the same degree of difficulty.

A future HoF QB who couldn't throw beyond 15 yards for most of the game cause his shoulder was screwed up.

Bottom line if the offense didn't suck for Dallas, the majority of the Saints game, they would have won that comfortably. The defense played pretty well but gassed by the end cause the offense, as they've done since Weeden took over, went large portions of the game doing absolutely nothing.

You act as if no one ever wins with a back-up QB. And we've been crushed by back-up QB's to boot, you know, those same games that you probably predicted (and expected) a victory in. Go figure. Get your head out of Garrett's back side dude.

I'm done with 3rd-grade arguments. Good day.

This FO and HC are absolutely to blame for being short sighted enough to go into this season with WEEDEN as the back up to an aging QB who has missed games every year for a few years now
