The Garrett bashing is trite, tired, and lacking in truth

He also was predicting late in the game that Weeden would be back. Don't know why he kept saying that.

because when the girl asked Jason about a qb change at the half , without hesitation he said no there wont be any change, and seemed mad she asked, so JG is behind weedon.
I cant see the jones boys forcing weedon on JG, they got cassel and have changed their tune on weedon.
Also they insinuated CM would play, and the who hot hand thing, which did not happen and CM only got 1 play.
I think the jones boys wanted to see cassel and more so CM this game.
But JG is stubborn about making any changes, same people will start if they are cleared to play.

with this defense at 100% full strength (which barring more injuries will be there when tony comes back) he will easily go 6-0.

I didn't realize O-Scan will be back when Romo is. So, no, this defense won't be at 100% full strength the whole season.

But still point taken.

He's never had a losing season while rebuilding a roster, but keep spouting your nonsense.

Fair enough for sure.

He also has had Tony Romo.

That makes a much bigger difference then many apparently wants to admit.

It's a lot easier to not having a losing record, while rebuilding your roster, when you've got an Elite franchise QB to win games for you. Possibly even in spite of you.

I don't know. I'm not ready to jump ship on Garrett just because I've seen how much the players clearly care about him, and how much they really do seem to believe in him and follow him. That can go along way when they're healthy again.

LOOOOL

yes...keeep accepting the mediocrity.

Star-Wars-7-Rumor-Emperor-Returning.jpg

Correctly, he has had only 1 winning season while rebuilding. .500 is .500 thats not a winning or losing season...its just a pile of steaming crap season.

As the weeks go on and the losses continue to mount, this idea you're spouting becomes more and more ridiculous. With this line of thinking, you must also be a fan of Chip Kelly then.

So if New England was missing Brady, Gronk, and Lewis yesterday, it would have made no difference, right?

Learn football, dude.

You mean like Green Bay 2007 when Favre got injured?

Favre started 16 games in 2007.

Maybe the 2008 patriots?

A better example, although the fact that the 08 Pats had Wes Welker and Randy Moss kinda negates that comparison.

How about the current Colts the last 2 games?

How bout them? They've won two games against teams led by Blake Bortles and Ryan Mallett/Brian Hoyer. Nobody is going to mistake any of those guys for Ryan/Brees/Brady.

Pit is competing without Ben right now.

Vick looked positively Weeden-esque in his one start so far (a home OT loss to a terrible Ravens team).

Buffalo has a nobody at QB and tons of injuries

3-2 with wins over the wildly overrated Colts, a Phins team that has been so bad they fired their HC, and a 1 point squeaker over a Titans team led by a rookie QB.

Shoot...didnt JG bus drive for an injured Aikman on some superbowl runs?

Garrett had Emmitt and Michael Irvin to work with; Weeden has Joseph Randle and Terrence Williams.

Bingo, thought so.

Buffalo is winning with a former bkup qb who never started until this year. Cleveland has won 2 games
Buffalo beat Indy, Miami and Tennessee. Cleveland beat Tennessee and a now 1-4 Baltimore.

Time to put away the annointing oil on both those teams.

We played one yesterday that went 10-5 without their all World QB when he went down. And that was when the Patriots didn't have any all pro caliber skill players around him. Just good role players. Coaching staff adjusted and got the job done.
The '08 Pats had Wes Welker and Randy Moss. Other than that...yeah, not much.

The Colts just won 2 games in what a 4 day span, or something like that, with their back up QB. Obviously they are in better health all around then us, so credit where that is due, but none the less their coaching staff adjusted and got the job done.

Those 2 wins came at the expense of teams who have combined for two wins all season.

It's way harder, without a doubt, and no one is expecting Weeden to be all pro, or to win every game, but with better QB play, with a better offensive game plan that shows they actually have faith and trust their QB to play solid the Cowboys would have won 2 out of these last 3 games.

Yesterday, by far, was the worst lack of trust I've seen from the coaching staff in Weeden. It was the worst offensive performance, by a long shot. What did they have 7 three and out possession in the first half? 7 out of 8 possessions? Good Lord.

That's not just on Weeden being hot garbage, which he absolutely is, that's also on some pretty piss poor coaching which chose to go with the most basic, elementary offense, they could come up with cause they clearly have no faith in Brandon.

They were hoping for a miracle that the defense would suddenly be the 85 Bears and would just win because of that. That's piss poor coaching, on all levels. That begins, and ends, with Jason Garrett.

Why would anyone who has actually seen Weeden play have any faith in the guy?

it would have been 8 three and outs if not for a penalty

he never takes the blame himself, it is always the players didnt play well, and they need to watch the tape and get better and move forward.
Right now they are stacking losses instead of wins and it will continue, Giants are playing better, and are 3-2 and lead the division now so will play harder and be more motivated.
The skins and eagles are now tied with us at 2-3. I think we will be on the bottom by game 7 or 8
The skins are gaining confidence and gelling as a team, and the eagles are starting to figure things out and get better.
D. Murray 20 for 83 yds 4.2 svg 1 td in a win so this will give them confidence. They beat NO 39-17

That's how the offense is designed.. It doesn't hold the coaches accountable really because the players are supposed to go win their matchup.

It's too arrogant for parity football.

Fair enough.

Lets say that we stick with Weeden and this continues, which I absolutely expect it to because it doesn't matter how great the D plays for a half, or three quarters, they're eventually going to gas with our offense playing like complete garbage.

So let's say for arguments sake that you continue with Weeden and this team loses to the Giants, Eagles, and Seahawks coming up. That's 2-6 at that point. And you'd still think that this team would be a significant player in the East if the team is 3-6 or 2-7 by the time Romo returns?

I mean hey man I love me some Tony Romo. He's fantastic. But now you're asking him to perform freaking miracles and return from injury and just go 6-0 down the stretch so save this team? I mean I'd love it if he did, cause he's great, but that might be asking for a little too much.

No. 2-6 would in all likelihood be too much. But I also don't think we'll be winless with either QB as our opponents will be easier and the team around them will be a lot better.

Regardless, at this point I think Cassell probably goes in if for no other reason than to try to give is a spark offensively. Even if they're not sure he's an improvement.

lets be honest, its out of frustration and everyone wants to see if Garrett can do anything to show the fans "I might lose, but at least im trying" i would have way mroe respect for him if he did that. Lets face it, after teh second loss, you pull Weeden.

"Parity football'? We're rolling out an offense in which Weeden, Randle, Williams and Street are starters, and you want to talk about parity? Give me a freaking break.

Well not anointing any teams, but I dont think Dallas could beat any of those teams with offense I saw last 2 games.

You act as if no one ever wins with a back-up QB. And we've been crushed by back-up QB's to boot, you know, those same games that you probably predicted (and expected) a victory in. Go figure. Get your head out of Garrett's back side dude.
