I would also like to add that I think Garrett has grown as a coach. And hopefully tonight continues that growth metric....

This was definitely a vintage Garrett game.

That said, I put this on the new Garrett--Linehan. Let the game get away from him. Couldn't adjust to Haslett at all. We called one screen and gained a ton of yards. Our counter to the rest of the blitzes? 15 yd routes downfield

Slants are the blitz killers

I would LOVE to blame Garrett, but he only gets a small amount. I have been giving credit to the other three coaches and tonight....they deserve most of the blame.....they sucked.

This loss is pinned on everyone, including Murray who had a costly fumble. Dez dropped balls, Randel could not hang on to his underwear, the OL was over-whelmed and our defense could not tackle snoopy.

A 100% team loss that starts with Jerry for allowing Romo to come back in who was not having a good game and well-under 100% effectiveness.

I put this one on Garrett tonight, but not for the reasons that some are saying. I put this one on him because he decided to allow Romo to re-enter. The guy was clearly gimpy. Just a stupid decision. 10 of our 17 points were with him out of the game. He wasn't sharp or responding well to the blitz BEFORE the injury. Weeden had just led us on a game tying TD drive. If Jason Garrett wants to be a top tier head coach he has to have the strength to say NO to Romo and or Jerry in situations where he has to know better. No bigger Garrett fan than me, but he deserves the L on this one.

honestly IF, IF, jerry told him to put Romo back in or anything close to that, I don't blame him for putting Romo back in...what happens if he sits Romo after Jerry and Romo say he is fine to come back, plays Weeden and then goes on to lose anyway...well he does not get his shiny new contract...i dont blame him one bit, i blame jerry who despite doing more things right lately needs to keep his old jerry walker blue butt in the owners box

Jerry was going for another storybook ending a la SF 2011 for the legend book.

I have never been a Garrett fan but you cant blame this one on him. I think they were looking past Washington which falls on everyone. We just got outplayed today.

Way, way, way overly simplistic view. The game was won and lost on 2nd and goal from the 3 (with your back-up QB) and 2nd and 2 in OT. I mean, really, we've seen this before. And in the post game when the red headed dolt was asked about the play calling he put it right on Linehan's lap. He's a weasel to boot.

Agree.

I'm sure I'll get slammed, but I don't think Romo's a great slant QB.

I mentioned delay-draws too. The two did work except the fumble. I think Romo can throw the slants but most of our WR's can't get that separation fast enough mixed in with the house coming at you.

They had the screens covered, not sure how since it seemed like 11 guys were blitzing, but they did.

This game was lost on Randall and Murray fumbles, Romo not being able to read their blitzes, horrible tacking and dropped passes. We where bad at pretty much everything tonight it was a complete team loss

It falls squarely in Linehan's lap. Everyone wants to give him credit when we're winning but we lose a game (due to Linehan's piss poor playcalling) and it's Garret's fault again? Really? Unreal.

I never said that. But yes....WHY did the running game disappear? Why?

The blame is whoever let Romo come back in the game, whether the call came from Jerry or Garrett. The difference was night and day in this game with how fast Weeden got the ball out. We need to sit Romo and let him heal before bringing him in. You can't let his tough guy thing ruin this team. If he's not at 100%, make him rest.

The skins did a good job of disguising were the blitz was coming from....whereas, we seemed to always telegraph it with Colts delayed hard count (plus, it was not hard to see it since it was usually right up the gut over the center)

I saw a huge hole right over the LG many, many times tonight. Not once, did they run in that direction.

You don't delegate responsibility. The HC has to insert himself at some point. He has to have an idea what he wants to do in that situation(s) and relay it to the OC and then live with it. You can't be a ******* clapping seal all game.

We were never going to go 15 and 1, we all know that, or at least we should. But at least give yourself the best chance to succeed.

The fumbles were early and we've seen this team overcome those blunders and come back to win. We're playing Colt McCoy here and you have to have some feel for the game. You take your best shot at the TD (with your back-up QB) by doing what your franchise RB and rebuilt OL has been doing all year.....mauling people. You have to go with the flow of the game at that point.
