We always play better when everybody doubts us. I was afraid of this game because of it.

I felt bad about the game ...because all week,,,all I saw was Jerry Jones 6-1 Cowboys, the new Triplets and Jerry Face plastered all over the TV.......the hype machine was in full motion all week....Players and team bough into the hype

Exactly!! They thought they had it won before the ball was ever snapped.

The same old Cowboys. Just when you think they've turned the corner, they reel you back in with being unprepared, bad turnovers, another slow start, lackadaisical play, bad tackling, and bad coaching against a team they should have easily beat.

Why are there threads about any of the players OR the coaches.....the Ringmaster could not help himself.....in case you forgot...he made sure to remind EVERYBODY....players, coaches, fans, media....that HE IS IN CHARGE. If Jason Garrett was in charge....Romo would have NEVER gone back in that game. Weeden was fine. As soon as Romo goes back in the game....I am not sure we gained 30 yards on drives!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coaches call plays that require MAX protection....

Romo can change the protection at any time, you call max protect based on how the D lines up. You don't come out of the huddle in max protect

I put this one on Garrett tonight, but not for the reasons that some are saying. I put this one on him because he decided to allow Romo to re-enter. The guy was clearly gimpy. Just a stupid decision. 10 of our 17 points were with him out of the game. He wasn't sharp or responding well to the blitz BEFORE the injury. Weeden had just led us on a game tying TD drive. If Jason Garrett wants to be a top tier head coach he has to have the strength to say NO to Romo and or Jerry in situations where he has to know better. No bigger Garrett fan than me, but he deserves the L on this one.

the only complain I have of Garrett is I wouldn't of let my injured qb back in.

they were sending the kitchen sink, he wasn't seeing it, and that was before he presumably got doped up for the pain.

Outhinking yourself. Trying to get too cute for your own good. All season, we've lined up and run the ball and punished our opponents and it got us to 6-1. We stopped doing that in the last three plays of the game tonight and it got us 6-2.

This fact alone is VERY discouraging going forward. This was my fear with Linehan...3 drives saw questionable play-calling and a lack of situational awareness. If we are going to see this chuck-ball crap creep back into this thing then they can have it!

I wonder who's call it was to put Romo back in. The HC or the GM?

That was the most disconcerting element of this game - Jerry on the field again. Speech recognition software could probably reveal what Jerry was saying to Jason on the sidelines.

That about sums this one up.

8 yard run on 1st down in OT, followed by 3 straight passes with a gimpy QB and struggling O-Line.

Commanders bringing the house all game, completely inability to scheme a way to counteract it and stop getting your QB killed.

Outcoached.

Dont forget he let the owner coach the team in crunch time.

Yep...Romo should not have been allowed back. Linehan worries me after tonight...3 drives...FG and two 2nd and 2's that turned into disaster. Three drives that had point potentials beyond 3. You can chide the defense, yes, but they only gave up 17 points facing the most snaps they have yet faced this year. An offense averaging 28 ppg should have been able to overcome tonight, especially with their secondary. Murray had a monster night with 221 all purpose yards on just 23 touches...they should have rode him in the fourth and overtime. This crap about pitch counts and touches makes no sense.

You could see by Romo's body language that he was arguing to try and get back in that game. Bad idea that had almost immediate disastrous consequences in the shadow of their own goal posts on 2nd and 2...the FIRST 2nd and 2.

Garrett needs to do something to get the fumbling under control. You can't take Murray out of the game, but you have to come up with something. If Murray doesn't fumble, we probably score there and win the game. This is a coaching issue at this point......

This is my thread. I'm sorry. I never posted in any of those eat crow about Garrett threads and this is why.... I suspected there would be games like this. I'm sorry, but you have a BACKUP QB and the NUMBER ONE RB in the league and you PASS TWICE IN the REDZONE???? Really????

The game management was TERRIBLE. This game is on Garrett.

Look, McCoy's play didn't surprise this Longhorn at all. He was on CRAP team in Cleveland and I always felt that he would give us a run for our money tonight b/c he was an unknown commodity. Is he a good QB? No. Is he a serviceable one? Obviously. So being unable to gameplan for him you gotta trust your high-octane OFFENSE is able to win the game for you..... but not if you HAMSTRING them. Am I going to blame Linehan? Yes. I have trusted him from the beginning to neutralize Garretts uber complex pass-happy offense but tonight... I'm not sure but I'm going to guess he was overruled by Garrett. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. My opinion.
