Years of Garrett's RKG effort and attitude cliches and Irving still need a teammate to call him out for lack of commitment. Good job, Garrett.

@Rockport -- don't want you to miss this hating on your red headed idol. clap, clap, clap, butt slap
I am not defending JG in any fashion, but having a teammate call me out for my effort or performance, particularly one of Lee's stature, was always more impactful than the coach could say to me. Maybe that is just me.

I have to agree with this statement. When I played ball, the leaders in the trenches with us meant a hell of a lot more to us than the coaches. When a field leader calls you out, you get your crap together, you expect a coach to call you out because that's their job so it doesn't have the same effect.

Did you watch the All or Nothing series? Lee coached more than any actual coach that I saw.

Of course. For several years now Lee has been the driving force behind our defense. This shouldn't even be debatable given the results of his absence. David Irving can do what he wants, and his pay and or his career with the team will be a direct result of that. I really don't want to hear about his problems, life struggles, or anything else he is going through. Does anyone care what a gas station attendant is going through? Or anyone else for that matter that has a job to do? Why do we give a pass to athletes? They are being paid a lot more than everyone else that also has problems and struggles and still have to go to work.

I'd love to tell me employer, sorry dude, I can't plow snow in this monster storm because I have some life issues I need to take care of, but I'm slowly working through them. I'll catch ya next storm.

He probably also noticed you didn’t miss YET ANOTHER opportunity to whine about someone you hate!

It's the Star on the helmet. Some fans feel that part of the requirement is to make excuses for everything and everyone.

GMs, coaches and or owners give leeway to certain players based off their talent level.
Had this been some UDFA with this issue, more than likely he would of been replaced with someone else.
Most professional athletes get a pass cause they are the cream of the crop when it comes to talent.
Bill B may not care than Brady was overseas chilling on a yacht, but he has to deal with it. Or Gronk is fooling around during the offseason waiting for another restructure $$$.

Irving gets a pass, at least from the Cowboy org, for now, due to his freakish ability at the DT spot. Now, not to say he is guaranteed to be re-signed longterm, but they will put up with him missing OTAs/MC due to how much he is getting paid and the level of production he can bring.

Personally, I'm not giving him a pass per-say, but at the same time we are talking about unpadded walkthroughs. If he is still missing practice when TC is around or is out of shape, then we got an issue.

That’s actually the prevailing mindset in society nowadays. No one takes responsibility anymore. It’s excuses all day!

Sadly, in a lot of instances, it's been the players doing the jobs that some of the coaches should be doing. Sean Lee needs to be made a coach here. We saw how the defense collapsed as soon as he left.

Unfortunately everyone here has to put up with your crap.
No they don’t. They can put me on ignore, like I can with you. See, I don’t mind playing these games. It’s all entertainment to me. See, you have let the cat out of the bag that hating ruins your experience here. Well, I am going to be a proud hater for my entertainment. Enjoy, Rockport.

first of all i appreciate good content but surely people realize that channel used by OP is just chopped up footage from something looped over and over usually the audio doesnt even match
like this time he shows Irving jogging to the same stop 3 or 4 times while Lee speaks in the background
its garbage

as for Lee i watched that interview the other day and while he was blunt (as a captain he should be) he made it clear they need Irving, i didnt see it as dogging him or something
Lee is the team leader and captain with Dak its his responsibility to be the standard, i could see Witten saying basically the same exact thing Lee did

as for Irving he cleared it up yesterday

I agree, just keep it behind closed doors and not with a microphone in your face. This team has enough drama, it doesn't need any more self-inflicted drama. It doesn't need to be bigger than it is, the media is like a dog with a bone and doesn't need them pestering him even more now that a teammate has called him out publicly.

We just gonna ignore the fact that Lee's been held out of most of all the team activities due to his proclivity to get injured?

Definitely not an apples to apples comparison. In fact polar opposites.

Sean Lee has been in the gym working out. Has shown up in excellent condition.

Has studied as much film as most of the coaches. Is present at all practices. Works with the younger LBs as a mentor and a coach.

NOTHING LIKE DAVID IRVING
