Glad at least a few take the time to look beneath the surface. Had a discussion about this very quote the other day and in a news story and this video, they cut off portions of Lee's quote to attempt to make it look worse than it was. Here's that post: LINK

The actual quote went like so according to an article (LINK to story):
"It’s good to have him here. He needs to be here working,” linebacker Sean Lee said. “The more he’s here, the better it is for us, shared sacrifice, all of us working together as a team is a big deal for all of us. He needs to be here on a more consistent basis. He needs to be working more with us.”

The media counts on people not thinking. They get many takers.

Yes, and they twist things around to ignite click$! But that’s just a conspiracy theory for misinformed drama queens...

It's the Star on the helmet. Some fans feel that part of the requirement is to make excuses for everything and everyone.

Or the ANYTHING on ANY helmet. Athletes in general, especially in the big three (NFL, MLB, NBA), are given extra excuses.

We just gonna ignore the fact that Lee's been held out of most of all the team activities due to his proclivity to get injured?
Lee is in shape and present.
He's simply not taking useless reps.

Irving is a walking mess.
Anyone comparing the two would be foolish.

That's not conspiracy. As I just illustrated, that's truth and they do it openly. It's up to people to look beneath the surface and investigate what the text seems to say but no one ever does because they're too busy knee-jerking exactly like the article is designed for them to do. Several clicks and re-clicks have already happened by the time someone who sees what's going on comes along to say something. By then though, the emotion train is rolling and no one can stop it because emotional, knee-jerks surely aren't going to reverse course and own up to getting carried away. So then they continue to back a point they know is wrong to save face.

I was a bit taken aback buy Lee's comments regarding Irving. Seems he lacked empathy for his problems. But in retrospect it seems Lee knew far more about irving's attutude, lack of commitment, and its affect on the team than most of us. Now that the buffoon's been suspended Lee's comments seem very understandable. That's what leaders do.

Lee talks just like a coach.

You know where I'm going with that.

I know we are always looking for the next player to make a coach romo/witten etc. but I think with Lee I’d be surprised if he is not a coach ten years from now in the NFL. Not just because of his intensity, but his ability to break down film, his attention to detail I think it will be a natural progression for him.

The day after Lee retires he should be on the Cowboys staff.
