The thought that always prevails to me I read in a book. The GM of the Pittsburgh Penguins went to their owner Ron Burkle, and asked if they should try acquire a high-priced Marian Hossa via trade for a late-season push to try win the Stanley Cup, and Burkle's response was, "Don't we owe it to our fans to try win the Stanley Cup every year?"
