The great big Romo Stinks thread *Merged*

He's been around long enough now that if he hasn't gotten it yet, he's not going to. People say well he hasn't been a starter that long. Well hes been in the league for a long time now and is pushing 30 years old. Don't think he's going to suddenly change and realize he can't be sloppy with the ball

The good news is the turnover margin was -4 and we still almost won the game. We have a good team. I honestly don't think our secondary is going to play this bad all season. I still think Romo will eventually take us to the Super Bowl. This loss really hurts but the season is far from over, and I look forward to seeing this team compete every week.

he's supposed to be a top 5 QB

but which top 5 QB fluctuates this badly?

maybe Rothlisbooger

You excuse BIG BEN after a few super bowls when he does go up and down. (which he does yeah..)

This team is about as frustrating as they get. We seem to out play our opponents over and over, yet still find a way to lose.

Not sure what Romo was doing out there tonight but he was awful.

I love the overreacting after a loss...it's great stuff.

I just thought we were past lousy defense and the QB killing the team with the multitude of turnovers.

You cant win consistently with this kind of stuff, and you certainly cant win championships.

Romo is Danny White 2.0

Screw that I'm tired of ppl talking foul about Danny like that Romo should only dream to get anywhere on Dannys level at this point.

Wheres Hutch or Wright or Leaf?
they were backups made starters by benchings or injury, not season long starters

Romo will never work harder to get better. And if he is, that means he is not that good.

Seems all he's worried about is getting hot girls (which I can't blame him) and seeing how many times he can appear in magaizines. He has that attitude of "whatever, I have the contract anyways".

Jerry has to be kicking himself everyday for ponying up the kind of contract he did for a guy who does nothing but choke. He drops the FG snap to cost us a playoff win and then because we start out 4-0 and he makes a circus play against the Rams on the over the head snap, he gets a deal.

What the hell did Morton ever do?

Romo is better than Morton. But Morton did QB them to a Super Bowl appearance in 1970.

Slate I used to be like you when I was in my teens and 20's...okay well into my 30's. Romo is not garbage he is exceptional, but there's no excusing the way he played. He had a bad game and he tends to have bad games in big moments but...

At the end of the day I think we will both be glad he's our QB. Honest.

Hear, hear.

This overreaction is rediculous, we will never have a high enough pick to get this "franchise" QB that everyone wants and Free agency is not an option.

Its week 2. We lost to the NFC favorite team by 2 points. We go from one week talking about Tony being the all time leader in passing rating, to the next week wanting to start Jon Kitna.

Romo made 2 really bad reads on the interceptions (the 3rd one was slightly behind the receiver, but not a bad read). We scored 31 damn points, our defense should be good enough to hold an offense under 31 points.

Oh yeah it's as if no good QB has ever had a bad game.

Romo was terrible tonight, no question about it.

He was the number one reason why we lost.

That being said this game means as much to our overall success this as our 3-0 start meant to our's last year.

It's a 16 game season.

Losing at home to the NFC favorites sucks and is disheartening, but It doesn't all of a sudden mean we're a 6-10 team either.

People in here crack me up. Yeah Romo had a bad game, but you guys act like he was making poor decisions all over the place.

Just a little education for some of yous who can't understand...An inaccurate pass is not the same as a bad decision.

There was NOTHING wrong with Romo's decision to throw to Williams or Witten on the first 2 interceptions. The problem was he threw a poor pass both times. There isn't anything to learn from that. A bad pass, is a bad pass. Of course the 2nd one as bad a throw as it was, wasn't bad enough to be an interception, it was just a fluke.

The last pass may have been a poor decision, or he may have just not seen him, I'm not really sure, but it wasn't good either way.

The biggest decision that Romo made that frustrated me was not running for the first down on the opening drive. Outside of that, his problems were mostly accuracy.
