no need for that. Its only september 20th. The mistakes made were correctable.

No one looked worse than arizona last year at thanksgiving yet somehow they went to the playoffs.

The problem I have with this team right now is that the more talented side of the ball, the side where all the high draft picks and money is, where the better coaches are supposed to be, seems to be a mess.

I am just not sure wade phillips has the stomach for the fight that is about to begin. His head is the one that is going to be asked for starting tomorrow morning. He is so sensitive I dont think he can handle it. We already know the players have basically no respect for the guy so this could really cause a problem.

just the same old misery.

i'm just so emotionally attached to this team and they find the most dissapointing ways to lose. i need a break before i do something i regret.

All I can say is welcome to my world. The world of reality... I refuse to have my hopes dashed yet again by this fraud of a team. The coaching is atrocious, the team has fully absorbed the mentality of it's zero personality head coach, and nothing has improved from last year. It's fraudulent. Even though I am primed for a very mediocre year, it still pains me to see the same cyclical things continue to happen out there on the field in games that matter against big time opponents....

But It's hard to give up on Romo yet when the season is early, and you have guys like Brady doing nothing special, I'd hold on a tad longer.

I feel you bro. I'm going to take a break from here and all sports shows this week. I might even pick up a Monday night shift next week so I'll force myself not to watch that game. I'm REALLY thinking about it.

I think the 3-4 experiment has run it's course.

But It's hard to give up on Romo yet when the season is early, and you have guys like Brady doing nothing special, I'd hold on a tad longer.

Parcells tried the 4-3 when our defense struggled. And the result was the same.

We need to acquire more talent.... regardless of the scheme.

What was the stadium atmosphere like? How was the additude after the game? Was it hot?

the atmosphere was good until eli manning threw the ball!

It wasnt hot, I didnt think. The crowd was good. The attitude after the game was the same as it has been for years from fans. Not sure where to put the blame. Not sure where things went wrong exactly. Not sure who was to blame on defense, or who is going to fix it.

Just plain old misery.

Right now, we have 2 guys who can get to the QB.

Ware and Ratliff. And Bradie too, when blitzed, has done better the past year.

That's not going to change in a 4-3 scheme. Its still the same players.

And yeah, we went to the playoffs that year. 15 games of which, we played a 3-4. And the one game where we played the 4-3.... the defense still sucked.

The 4-3 for a game wasn't the reason we went to the playoffs.... it was the benching of Bledsoe and Romo taking over that turned this team around.

I don't care if we use a 3-4 or a 4-3. Right now, its not going to matter. We need more talent on that side of the ball, regardless of our scheme.

I just can't buy into this team anymore.

I have no doubt they are extremely talented and could win it all if they ever figure out how to stop beating themselves.

But they can't. They just can't do it.

Good team but lady luck hates us and on top of that we will find a way to lose.

At least Romo gave some what of an encouraging press conference. But talk is cheap.


I no longer have high expectations for this team. Im just going to sit back and watch and hope they can overcome their boneheadedness.

A lot of high draft picks on the defensive side of the ball; no doubt about it.

But its pretty telling that the problem still lies on that side of the ball. Parcells didn't fix the issue; Wade hasn't either.

At some point, you look at those 11 and have to wonder how much talent (despite the money and high draft picks) is really on that side of the ball.

Outside of Ware and Ratliff.... its looking bad.

no doubt about it. Terrance Newman is not the same guy. Its abundandtly clear. Ken Hamlin doesnt do a single thing any more than average, he appears to be a lazy prima donna to me.

I think bradie is a good player. And ware and ratliff obviously, The rest of the guys are all suspect and now that they are all in key roles it looks pretty shaky.

Its really dissapointing not only because we lost, but because the offense is going to have to find a way to carry this defense again.

Eli Manning put on a clinic. That play action pass down the middle of the field at the end of the third quarter was just a microcosm of the game. He was doubled but sensebaugh ended up out of position somehow.

We sold out to stop the run and no one in the secondary could do anything, it looked like 2000 with goodrich and larrimore out there. ANd hey what do you know Dave Campo is here too.

It's early in the season, but Wade has shown us that camp was still camp cupcake.
Poor Tackling- check
Half the time it seemed the coverage units were lost-check
Turnovers-check

Wade might be a good defensive coordinator, but until we get a real head coach and GM it's going to be difficult to go all the way.

All the problems we saw tonight can only be fixed in one place and that is practice, but if our coaching sucks then who are the players going to learn from?

I'm not going to jump the gun, but let's be realistic as well.
We got destroyed by a group of no name receivers and a banged up defense.

Props to our Linemen, both OL and DL we obviously won the trenches.
Our RBs did well too.

Man tonight was disappointing.

Good Coverage equals sacks. We have terrible coverage.

Good pass rush equals Turnovers. Right now we have two guys that can cause problems, but when 4 rush against 6 good luck.
