Have you ever dated him?
No, but his stepfather's niece's second cousin is a real tomato.
Have you ever dated him?
there is a difference between building a team from nothing vs taking over a franchise already in existence.Landy's staff over the course of, what, 30 years?
What happened roughly from 1990-93 is extraordinary, fleet lad, absolutely extraordinary!
It was extraordinary! Just saying Tom Landry had an amazing staff too.Landy's staff over the course of, what, 30 years?

big difference.
but i'll take the 5 super bowl titles and can't wait for #6.
The Walker trade was the key.Me good lads, friends of Edgar Buchanon, failed contractor and roofing adjustors:
I pose to you, the unwashed and hungry for my analysis, a question.
What in your mind is the greatst Cowboys coaching staff?
Some from the middle last century might say Landry, Ernie Stoutner,
Dick Nolan, Raymond Berry, Dan Reeves, Gene Stallings, Mike Ditka, and John Mackovic was the greatest assemblage of coaching talent, and I might agree. (But this gathering was done over 30 years; Jimmy did his thing in 5 years.)
But then came Jimmy, ridiculed that he wouldn't be playing the Eastern Carolinas of the world anymore, he didn't know NFL workings, etc. ad nauseum. Even made fun of his helmet-like hair. Blimey!
But Jimmy made them eat their words and assembled, as it seems in me crowded, echo-y mind, the greatest tight-knit coaching staff in our history in 1993.
Look at this list from 1993, lads and solar panel grifters, the coaching greatness we shant see again in our lifetimes.
Or am I just romanticizing this era?
*As gleaned from Wilipedia:
Defensive coaches
- Offensive coordinator – Norv Turner
- Running backs – Joe Brodsky
- Wide receivers – Hubbard Alexander
- Tight ends - Robert Ford
- Offensive line – Hudson Houck
Special teams coaches
- Defensive coordinator – Butch Davis
- Defensive line – John Blake
- Defensive backs – Dave Campo
- WHERE IS DAVE WANNSTEDT ???
Strength and conditioning
- Special teams – Joe Avezzano
- Kicking/offensive and defensive quality control – Steve Hoffman
Is this a list of assistant coaching rock stars or not?
- Strength and conditioning – Mike Woicik
Holla and brings me a dollar.
Oh man go for itNo, but his stepfather's niece's second cousin is a real tomato.
Across 30 years, yes, Landry assembled a great cast.Quick look at the pro football Hall of Fame answers this question.
Tom Landry had more great coaches assembled together than anyone else in cowboy history.
But none of those coaches ever sniffed a Superbowl again.Landy's staff over the course of, what, 30 years?

It wasn't Campo"s fault. He just took one for the team.Whenever I see the name Dave Campo I get bad flashbacks to the 2000 - 2002 seasons when he was Head Coach; {3 years in a row losing 11 games}.** Jerruh Jones loved him because he was the ultimate "good soldier" and "yes man" who followed his orders to the bitter end without any push back.. So sad.
Across 30 years, yes, Landry assembled a great cast.
Across 5 years, Jimmy brought together in 1993 a great coaching staff. I'd say the greatest staff in Cowboys history.

Actually Tom Landry built the dynasty from nothing that Jimmy Johnson added onto. Both achieved greatness this sport demands in their own respective ways,Are you asking if Jimmy Johnson was better than Tom Landry?
Maybe. Longevity has to enter into this, though. Unfortunately for Jimmy, Tom Landry did it year after year for a long time.
Are you looking for just names for any one year of coaching? I suppose we would have to look at who Parcells assembled in 2005 then.
landry was as much apart of building this team from nothing as tex and gil.Landry didn't build a team, he coached it. Schram and Murch and then Bright weathered the highs and lows of NFL franchise infancy.
Jimmy didn't build a team, but he did implode a gawd-awful team with an aging Danny White,
I would think that the rude and crude Tuna knew a network of good coaches, I just canna think of any Parcells-era guys who come to mind.
Strange, yes. (Strange like what is in ranching's chicken coop and chem shed. Strange like what my ex-girlfriend Beyonce saw in JayZ and not in me.)
But the Jimmy era conjures le images of GREAT assistant coaches who went on to flop in the NFL and the East Carolinas of the uncivilized world.

Des saisons de splendeur avec un grand coach!" (I am practicing me French for a haircutting license.)
But none of those coaches ever sniffed a Superbowl again.
This is really a non topic.
