...I didn't know you could do that.. hehe!.. ;) I usually know what posts will have credible info with substance. The avatar with name gives it away. At the same time, there is always those who bring interesting info. I don't mind checking into.

I have never used it, either on the old DC.com or here. I assume it's been used against me, as I've been threatened with that like it's the Dreaded Black Veil of Death so I figure if they put me on Ignore, I don't have to ignore them.

I came to the old site and this one with the same expectations, a little bit of everything and everybody and some hurt feelings, misunderstandings and tempers flaring, all part of the experience.

And if I put someone on Ignore, what am I going to miss? If I didn't put a poster who's life's mission was to get in my face on Ignore on the old site, there's no one here I would want to do that to and I don't have to read everything and certainly don't have to respond.

I look at Ignore as surrender. Can't deal with that person or they frustrate beyond self-control so just make them not exist. LMAO, if only I had a real life Ignore button.

One of the very best features of this great site is the ability to put posters on "ignore" and get rid of the white noise.

It's not something you need often, but it really parses down the site to what's interesting, relevant and conversational, while getting rid of the simpletons and riff-raff from your feed. It sharpens your experience here and eliminates the time waste of going back and forth with the clueless and meandering know-nothings.

I highly recommend it. I've got about 12 on ignore, some of them from forever ago that I'm not even sure are still here. I use it sparingly.

I don't recommend using it just because of a spirited debate that gets testy or even personal, then cools off later and gets back to meaningful football discussion. It's just the internet, and who cares about that stuff. We all get a little overly passionate at times about the Cowboys.

I'm referring to those useless fence-posts who never add anything to any conversation, and don't have the football acumen to be worth your time or thought process. You know the kind.

If you haven't already, tailor the site the way you want it before the season starts. Makes for a much better season all the way around.

Completely agree. I used to respond all the time, argue, and wish I could meet up with the guy on the other end and cave his teeth in. Some posters are complete azz clowns. I started using the ignore feature and my website experience has greatly improved. It is a good one!

erod, Ignore can't be great unless they know you're Ignoring them. When my wife wanted to let me know she was ignoring me, there was no mistaking that. Ignore for effect. And above all, Ignore them first. Ignoring as a response is weak sauce.

I don’t see the need to ignore anyone you can learn a lot from people you don’t see eye to eye with

I don’t use it very often either. Usually if I do it’s juts for the day. Lol. Then I take it off.

I don’t even ignore Dez Fan Bois. I love to see them wailing over their hero. Lol.

Not according to some, I've had some people get in my face here but I am not going to ignore them. In fact, one that did react strongly from the get go, had I put him on Ignore, it would have been a mistake as I've come to learn more about him and I like him and see where he's coming from more now.

We can all disagree but remain agreeable people. People come here for different reasons and some that come with a negative vibe are not selling, they want to buy some positive but they need some help. Every true fan would like to be positive about the season, they're not trying to rain on the parade.

I've learned it long ago from the old fan forum. Simply say what you have to say and move on. Why bother putting them on ignore. Just do it LOL

..Coach, that reminds of a time back at the DC.com site. Where I was away for a few weeks and I came back and some said you left. I admit I was blatantly not happy about it. I always enjoyed yer input to cowboy swing of things. I think, I even wrote you a small sermon..lol.. Something along the lines of just let it go, its no biggie. Your a true cowboy champion. ;)..

....I cant remember exactly what happened, that caused the ordeal.

I prefer to see what everyone thinks rather than ignore that opinion. I may disagree with that opinion. I might think it's a dumb opinion. The opinion might really upset me. But I'd rather see the opinion than ignore. Just be OK with agreeing to disagree and you never need to ignore anyone.
