The NFL is so year to year and all you can do is rely on what you thought you knew from the prior season. In 2021 the Eagles couldn't compete with Dallas. They made some moves to improve their team in 2022 and split their head to head matchup but had a magical run in the post season. This year the Eagles lost a bunch of starters as well as their coordinators and hope to replace their players with rookies. Meanwhile the Cowboys retained most of who they wanted and upgraded corner and receiver with proven players.

The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl last year and thus deserve to be penciled in as the stronger team at the moment. Whether that proves true we'll see at the end of the year, but inferior is laughable. If I was placing a bet I would take the over 9 wins

With that said, I actually wanted Rush to take over the starting spot even when Dak got back from injury until I realized that he barely passes over 100 yards per outing. I knew he wouldn't be able to lead us over good teams with those less than pedestrian numbers. I like the guy and I realize he's limited.

Again.... Dak is going on his 8th season. Rush is going on his 7th season.

Rush has been in the league pretty as long as Dak and lives his career bouncing back and forth on and off practice squads while Dak has been a starter since his first year.

No disrespect at all to Rush because I really do appreciate what he has done for us when he stepped in.....

But there's nothing he has ever done that could make Dak look bad.
