You have completely missed my point. While AsthmaField doesn't agree with me, at least he understands my point. You're clueless.

I'm not trying to start a argument with you and I do get your point. But my point is that I think its GOOD that when push comes to shove we shove back even harder. I like that nastiness that we bring even though its just a game. Nastiness is part of the game of football. It can't be manufactured or classified as authentic. I'm now glad we have that nastiness that comes with our identity. It does wonders to a organization that wants to get back to its glory days and what football is all about.

My point is that Teague didn't "shove back harder." He, along with the rest of the team, got their ***** kicked. There was no nasty in what Teague did because it didn't come with any nasty on the field of play. Yes, I hated when Furrey threw the ball and would have been fine if someone punched him in the face. But I don't think that would have had a galvanizing effect on the team, I don't think it would have brought them together.

So much is said about the big three draft picks, and Leary is playing just as well as an undrafted free agent. I sure hope that knee lasts him longer than expected.

That was awesome. And Wilson is so much smaller, it looked like Romo was consoling a little brother. LOL.

Wilson is a good QB. I bet Tony was just saying good game go get them next week or we'll see you guys again hopefully.

Say what you want about Tony Romo but the man does everything in a classy way. Everything.

Oh, probably. I had my own dialogue in my head. LOL. Wilson is a VERY good QB, no doubt about that.

LOL we all did. It was nice to see and up and comer like Wilson at least seek Tony out to shake his hand. The two teams respect each other that was clear to see from the opening kick off.

I hope there aren't people in this thread appreciating the "won't backdown attitude".....were not the same one's upset when Dez shows emotion on the sideline...or supported DeMarcus Ware when he was teaching Dez the "proper" way to channel his emotion. I'm just sayin!

P.S. - notice this about Murray, Dez and Leary....they are young, hungry, talented...and have NOT gotten their payday yet. THESE are the kinds of guys you reward! Don't miss the overpaid choirboys that are no longer in Dallas. You can be a good player AND let the opposition know that you are not to be messed with. Kudos to the new sherrif's in this lockeroom!

I think that fight may have been a turning point in the game because things were really going Seattle's way at that time. And the radio call with Sham and Laufenberg confirmed that with me. They pretty much said that the body language with the defense after that fight was much better than the one before after the muffed punt a few minutes earlier. And sure enough we get a 3 and out and held em to a FG and kept the fight throughout the entire game.

I appreciate Ware and what he did for this organization. That being said, this attitude change that we are all seeing and appreciating would never have happened under his watch. never...

I said in another thread....it was not just the contracts of certain players we needed to move away from...it was the leadership style of certain players that we needed to move away from!

That's my dude! I ride with Leary like Murray. He and Murray along with McClain just give off that "I'm not the one to be messed with" attitude. Love it because they never back down.

the sweet thing about Murray is he will run you over, ask Sherman, give you a hand up and do it again. LOL I love it.

I think the turning point was when they went up 10-0 on a blocked punt...and then watched the Cowboys ram it right down their throat on the following drive. It was very similar to the 49ers game, except we turned the ball over at the end of that drive. Had we scored a TD there like we did against the Seahawks, I think we win that game.

I disagree, only because Tony was so horribly rusty/bad/whatever- a different circumstance would have fallen to SF. But the blueprint was there, and the Niners could do little to stop our run game: no retreat, no surrender despite circumstance.

Doesn't he travel with the team? I've seen him on the sidelines a couple of times this year.

I don't think he travels...but I did see him a the last home game. I was like...hey, that's Colombo.

The point about this team and it's "nasty" is that they just actually look bigger than their opponents so far.

When Seattle played the Commanders I was thinking how small they looked compared to the Commanders, and then in the Seattle game I was like, damn, the Cowboys look so much bigger and stronger, which proved right.

As far as the TO running to the Star and Teaque doing what he did, yeah, it might have been seen as being childish after getting their butt kicked, but to gain some respect, as little as it might have seemed at the time, at least you gain a little respect. Doing nothing in that situation and letting TO get away with it is like letting someone disrespect you and you take it.

Not this team....

Well, I do agree that it was Romo's worst game in years (if not ever). But I wouldn't have called a pass play down there, nor the next time we had it at their goal line. Given the fact that we came away with zero points on either of those drives, which is just a total life sucker for a team, I don't know. I think we might have taken it. Who knows? But I know that's the last time we lost and I'm pretty happy about that! :)

Me too. It is what I wanted most. Honest to Pete, do you want to know one of my least favorite moments as a fan? We were playing the Lions and some flash in the pan WR scored a TD and then took the football and threw it at one of the stars and broke it. No one beat him silly after that. I was screaming for George Teague.

I remember it well. Someone should have beat the snot out of the little sob.

Oh well, you guys have completely missed my point. I like nasty too. However, I like authentic nasty, not manufactured. McClain doesn't have to go around shoving people after a play is over, he just radiates intimidation because it is authentic. He is badder than you. He knows it. You know it.

Because not enough people on here are quick to tell someone on the opposite side of a debate that they have a good point, I will take the time to tell you what I already should have: I agree with you about authentic nasty vs manufactured nasty. I understand what you're talking about and you are correct. I would rather them bust someone's behind during a play than between plays.

And you're right about McClain too.

I just like Dallas players to defend Dallas pride, but not everyone is the same. That's cool.

Thanks for the debate.

Great thread.

I'm not surprised to see our OL bringing the fight to the world champs. I remember seeing threads during OTAs and TC talking about Martin (rook) battling Melton (prized offseason acquisition) seemingly everyday. Sometimes Martin would win, sometimes Melton. We had a few DL going down for a day or two (including Melton) - probably as a result of the OL roughing them up LOL. But I don't remember hearing much about our OL missing any time.

Now I'm seeing our DL playing with some clean, hard-nosed nastiness. We probably can thank our OL for that.

We got a nasty OL. I like it a LOT. Can't wait to see what they do against Gmen front 7.

I'll eat some crow on calling out the team's aggression/unity (Lee). If that play happened last week, a similar scuffle would've followed without question. Proud of them for sticking up for each other (esp the anchors like Leary/Fred/Dez/McClain/Scan) for setting the tone early.
