Derrick Thomas was drafted ahead of Deion Sanders in 89' draft.
Von Miller was drafted ahead of Patrick Peterson in the 11' draft.

QB's/offensive coordinators fear pass rushers - they collapse the pocket and force the QB to make mistakes (which allows gloried athletes in the secondary the opportunity to make a play).

Take the best rusher in this draft who can play inside & outside and, also can hold the line of scrimmage against the running game ~ Bosa.

Compare Bosa to Thomas and Miller yall.

Ramsey is probably closer to Peterson than Joey try hard Bosa is to Thomas or Von Miller.

Sort of like in 2012 when Jerry stated that Mo Claiborne was the 2nd highest rated cornerback since Deion Sanders.

I don't understand what Jerry's evaluation of Morris Claiborne has to do with Jalen Ramsey.

Scandrick isn't Sherman or Norman, but he was a pretty good find in the 4th. He's among a small handful of the best slot CBs in the league.

He is a success story. One of all too few among notable misses.

Just once, I'd like to be the team that finds Richard Sherman in the 5th round or Josh Norman in the 4th round and gets great cornerback play at a reasonable cost.

It seems that we can't even buy it, even when we overpay. In cap money or draft picks.

Poor scouting at it's finest. After the first round, Dallas stinks at drafting. They would do better to follow a random draft guide and draft accordingly .

At the #4 selection in the draft, drafting a secondary player elevates that player's position (CB) to the status of a Deion Sanders.

Oh this is easy to answer. Its because this is a horrible year to have a top pick. We no chance at the top 2 QBs anymore. The top defensive lineman is a pothead and a moron. Both of the blue chip linebackers have bad knees now. Its a waste to take a RB at 4. And Tunsil would be too hard to keep after his rookie contract. Ramsey is a top defensive talent that fills a big need who has no prior off field issues. This is why many posters on here want him.

Cool, I'll take him over Bosa.

Cool, then you just took a Mo Claiborne/Mike Jenkins/Mark Barron/Justin Gilbert, all over-valued CB's and Safeties with the 4th selection in your secondary.

I agree with your draft opinion. It was not s good year to draft at the 4th position. Every player available has concerns that hurts their value.

Hi Fives at Valley Ranch!

Barron was another flop that gathered big support here. I was blasted for saying he was a second round talent. Those same posters are pushing for Ramsey this year. Gotta love fans that don't learn from mistakes.

Mark Barron isn't an elite athlete and there were lots of questions about him. I remember everyone being shocked Tampa took him so high. Not really a good comparison.

Why do that when you can get more time for your pass rushers to get to the QB by getting a lot more cornerbacks?

Coverage sacks are more exciting due to the extra drama and anticipation of watching the other teams qb sit there and survey the whole field before going down. :p

I will never understand, spending high picks on corners. All of the elite corners in the league have a good-great pass rush. We have this same argument on this board, year after year and some fans still dont get it. But yea, lets waste another top pick on a DB and watch nothing change.
