They don’t know what the hell they’re doing. They’re trying to emulate the Pats by being penny pinchers. But , here’s the problem, the Pats have a weak division and much weaker conference. You have the Steelers and Jags as the only two teams to really compete in the AFC.
In the NFC there’s 8-10 teams who are very strong. Penny pinching and dumpster diving will not work for the Cowboys. A real GM would trade for Earl Thomas and try to call up Tampa Bay and ask them if they’d want any of our WR’s or a LB for Cameron Brate the TE. He’s very underrated and they just drafted a TE in the 1st round last year. That immediately makes two glaring weaknesses into strengths.
This front office is content they are the richest franchise in the world. That’s what they care about.
