I was trying to go through the 53 and see who I would keep as we move into 2021 and who should be cast aside. This is just how I feel, but I suspect some guys I don't want will be back due to contracts, etc.

QB - Dak, Dalton (again, you aren't going to find a great backup)
TB - Pollard
WR - Cooper, Gallup, Brown, Lamb, Wilson
TE - Jarwin, Schultz
OT - Smith, Collins, Knight
OG - Martin, McGovern, Williams
C - Biadasz, Looney

I know people will roll their eyes at Williams and Looney but honestly, I think both are, at the very least, good backup types. I don't need Elliott back but he'll be back because of the contract.

DE - Lawrence, Gregory
DT - Woods, Hill
LB - Thomas, LVE
CB - Awuzie, Diggs
S - Woods

That's really thin on defense and some of these guys like Awuzie and Woods, I know people think aren't ery good but I have a slightly higher opinion. And Hill at DT showed to at least be serviceable, even as a backup DT. Woods as well at DT.

Going to be a fascinating offseason especially with the cap constraints we are going to have.

I haven't gave much attention to Biadasz.. How is he playing?

Seems OK. He's making line calls and last night seemed to do fairly well. Granted he had a lot of help from Martin as they duo blocked Cox a lot. I think with an offseason and some strength work, he might be a pretty good C.

This is a good list but I have 2 big changes. Chido is a loser. Shows little effort and has gotten worse every season. I prefer Lewis. I also think Woods is the worst starter on the team and bottom 3 in the league. Plus his effort is horrendous. I would rather keep Wilson and Robinson there, sign a real FA and draft. Woods must go!

For me, it's not so much the cap as it is which of the myriad free agents you try to sign. The cap is a big part of that, but there are so many free agents that it's not a sure thing that you want to try to keep them (or at least I'd not keep them). Personally I'd jettison most of them, plenty of udfas every year, with only 7 rounds in the draft....

Ehhhh, I am not sure he's good enough to warrant coming back, but I guess he could be a serviceable backup.
Wilson, while not a starter, plays well enough to contribute in certain nickel and dime packages, plus he's the only the Cowboy's secondary player I've seen not afraid to lay the wood on a opposing team's player.

Lewis has been pretty bad. Awuzie has more upside.

Looney is a perfect swing guard/center
Plays both positions solid
Williams is still under rookie deal and I haven’t seen anyone beat him out yet
McGovern had a shot but looks to need more time to develope

Hah hah. I would say the opposite. Chido has gotten a chance and failed. Lewis thanks to Mr I need 6’2” cornerbacks has never really had his shot. I think he has shown more in limited time.

He was a ball hawk and fierce tackler when given opportunities last season. Sophomore let down? Should be given a chance.

I agree. He has never had the shot. I think Dallas needs to decide between he and Chido so he should get plenty of play the next 8 weeks.

McGovern is a 3rd round pick. 3rd round guards should not need this much time to develop. I am not sure what his deal is other than maybe he is just a career backup and should have been drafted in the 5th or 6th round.

Gallimore is a rookie. Give him a full offseason and he’ll be at least equal to Hill.

Steele will also get another shot to be the swing tackle. A rookie UDFA that shouldn’t have seen the field this year.

DiNucci will be the 3rd string QB and hope to replace Dalton after next year.

I'd drop Chido and S- Woods. Woods is garbage and I'd go as far as saying Chido might be average at best.

Besides, aren't both of them on the last year of their rookie deal? Do you see Jerry giving these guys new contacts? I wouldn't.

Maybe this new D scheme is weird for most of the players. It was good to see Tank, LVE, and Diggs representin' last night. Gregory had his moments as well. We need new DTs though.
Jaylon, TCraw, and Steele - don't let the door hit ya in the keister on the way out.
