The Kellen Moore Curl offense

Zeke was WIDE open swinging out of the backfield for a nice gain and a 1 on 1 shot at breaking a tackle. Maybe that is where the play should have gone?

Yeah he'd have been tackled 5 yards short. We missed Pollard a lot. It's just a terrible route combination.

I've said for years that it seems as if 80%+ of our passes are caught with our backs to the defenders....ZERO imagination...HOWEVER, when you have a QB who finds it almost impossible to hit a WR in stride, what do you expect the calls to be. EVERYTHING has to be made DAK PROOF....one more reason to move on. In the meantime, go get Derek Carr. Problem solved.

Thing is, two of those curls are open. Dak just has zero ability to anticipate and their is no timing coordination between his drops, the WR breaks, and his release.

It’s not just Dak. It’s not just Moore. It’s not just the OL. It’s not just (insert name or positions group). It’s the entire design, timing, scheme, and execution. That’s why sometimes it runs like a well oiled machine. They’re all on the same page every once in a while. Then, sometimes, they entire thing breaks down because no one is on the same page.

To me, that all screams head coaching. The head coach is the one who has to make sure everyone is on the same page and understands the expectations. When there are constant hiccups and brain farts and blunders and poor execution, that’s the head coach.

Something I said last year and at times this year...they are not sharo, there is no attention to detail and they are situational blind.

This is the same curl offense they ran vs SF last year that I railed on about. Kellen has to go...I have seen enough.

I read what I saw, and that's not what you said, maybe trying actually typing what you fully meant and wanted me to see next time. Alot could've been better but THOSE TWO picks were the biggest oops in the game

Uggg do u know why they ran curls? Because you don't have to try to lead the receivers. The curl is difficult to stop and EASY for a QB toy complete.
Daks throws we're off target all day, you cannot run a 3yd drag to CeeDee if ,you need 10 yds. LOL trust me curls are not KMs route of choice for 10 yds. But it's all he had.

If you understand offense at all you see the tweaks KM has made to give Dak a chance. Everytime Daks under even mild pressure he chokes. There is NO EXCUSE for throwing that many picks, no to mention all of the off target throws. 2 years this guy has kept us from advancing in the playoffs because he CANNOT defeat a tough defense.

....but "Zeke sucks" is included on every breakdown of someone else' failures. Novices are breaking down KMoore schemes with ease.

But doesnt that suit Dak's game? Isnt that what he's comfortable doing? It's great hypothesising saying he should of thrown for 15/20yards, but is he capable.? He's best when he hits those short yardage gimme yards (mainly to Schultz).

You can can only scheme for what you've got.....he's hardly scheming for Mahomes.

this was the same exact play last year against AZ> same call against KC and in all three, the defenders just sat at the depth the curls were to happen and just waited.

Why is the throw made to begin with?

In Moore's and Dak's cases, why are they BOTH not seeing coverage? The fault lies with both.

Now. Lets be honest with each other. Have you seen this offense every stick to whats working? Ever? Kellen like his predecessors always, ALWAYS changes whats working. Remember when Pollard lit up the Bears?

Didn't Dak come out the next week and throw like 40 times? Its insanity. Moore is arrogant. And wants to show off. Run schemes dont do that. Its not flashy. Whether he is getting that call from Jerry's office or not I dont know. But lets not forget. Jerry did say when Garrett was still around these parts that if Kellen felt he was being controlled or told what to do. To go directly to Jerry. So in my mind. I can see Kellen getting upset at MM for telling him to run the ball and Jerry all hammered saying. "Well lets sling it next week".

Go back to 2016. Zeke ran all over GB earlier in the year. Destroyed them. Dak had an ok game, nothing crazy. What do we come out doing in the playoffs? Throwing. Why? This coaching staff loves to get cute at the worst times. You have a proven method of success. Why deviate?

If I changed how I did my job to my own detriment I would be fired. I am in a results oriented business. Like most football teams are. Not ours. Ours is a money results business.

This entire team from the Owner on down to the waterboy is dysfunctional. Its sickening. You can put Burrow, Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers into the starting QB position here. Nothing will change. Because our owner/gm/president wants to be the face of the franchise!
