Look at the stats. Dak and Cam had almost identical stats passing. Both missed badly on several throws (it was raining throughout most of the game). Zeke and McCaffrey had almost identical stats. But...

Cam - 13 rushes for 58 yards
Dak - 5 rushes for 19 yards

Dak is more like Cam than any other NFL QB. If we would've called more running plays with Dak, and Dak would have been a more willing runner when things broke down, that could have made a difference in the game. Norv is fearless about Cam running. Cowboys refuse to put Dak at risk. That's the key difference.

Both are highly inconsistant and not great Passers but you can see why Cam was a #1 Overall Pick and Dak a 4th Round Comp Pick.

I'd compare Dak's running skills more to Aaron Rodgers than Cam Newton.

Cam Newton is the best running as a QB I've ever seen. I put him above Cunningham and Vick in that category.

The biggest difference is that the Panthers defense was good enough to shut down an anemic offense led by an inaccurate QB with no viable targets and a struggling OL - the Cowboys defense wasn't.

There aint anyone out there that is better on the free Agent market. Dak will get this year but if he cant improve especially as a Passer he has to go or take a Backup Role going Forward. Cowboys Need to invest the 1st Rounder next year if he still cant put up Points with the Offense. 9 Straight terrible Games from him.

Those DTs are beasts. Top 3-4 in the league at that position.
Add in the LBs....
That was my concern pre-game.
They match up absolute perfectly with Dallas.
Extremely difficult to run on, so they make the QB make plays down field
