The NFL needs less regulation, not more. NFL teams will figure out how to deal with it.
Or hand it to Zeke and have him convert 90% of the time?weve used it to. We just dont get in that situation as much as the eagles. well be 3rd and short and take a sack or do a double reverse. Im ok with that you want to stop it get tougher
Lol you're the only person who still wants Zeke on this teamOr hand it to Zeke and have him convert 90% of the time?
Horrible rule change...it used to be illegal...should be still. Has ruined the game. The Eagles are abusing this and it is a cheat code, imo. When you can't stop a team from. 3 yards away because the ball carrier is being carried by 3 guys, it is a problem. I am so sick of watching it. The Eagles lose many games if they are not able to do this bull....
They were hard enough to stop in 2017 with their sneaks...now it is ridiculous level.
What type of rules should be put in place to mitigate this football travesty? I am thinking something like, "No more than one player can push a ball carrier on a given play".
Here is an article on it that talks about how the league changed the rule in 2005...

well of his 90% there are times he needs that push as well. my point is i dont mind the play its on the defense to stop it.Or hand it to Zeke and have him convert 90% of the time?
That's kind of what football is. Finding a way to take advantage of your opponent. The opponent countering. Then back and forth.I don't like it. It will either be regulated out of the game or every team will start to do it and now we get to watch a bunch of it every week. I generally don't like anything that appears to give anyone an unfavorable advantage and this clearly does. The defenses have a natural disadvantage in this situation because if they bunch up enough weight to stop the push then the offenses will start to shift and throw the ball instead. It just feels off.
They already do and replay is available for spotting the ball. No reason the play couldn't be reviewed to determine where forward progress is stopped.Do you really want these guys deciding when the play is stopped?
laughable. Only for the Eagles does something laughable like that work. They are THAT good up front and with Hurts at QB. Those things dont work with most other QB's or without that Oline. The Eagles are abusing this and it is a cheat code, imo. Maybe coaches don’t go for 4th and short in their own end with the game still undecided as often as they do if the rule were different. The Eagles are abusing this and it is a cheat code, imo. Cute, but I’d guess that strategy would draw a friendly but off the record phone call from one of Uncle Roger’s cronies strongly suggesting that you knock that off.My way to stop it would be in the regular season, with the game not on the line have a backup safety or linebacker try to time the snap polamalu style and hit him in the head with a running start. If he doesn’t time it right? Oh well, just hit him anyways. NFL will change the rule real quick when Hurts is wobbling to the sideline from getting hit by an offsides player.
Might not be good sportsmanship but if I can’t stop a play in the NFL I’m going to find a way to make it so costly they stop it, like the option going partially out of style from getting RG3 killed.
