If Jerry was ever going to close anybody...today he needs to do this deal. It's not about Roy putting us over the top....it's about getting a quality #2/#1 for now and the future. It just makes way too much since for both parties.

If the Giants trade for Gonzales and we do nothing then we are fools.

I also think that this will give the team and the fans something positive to think about...after all the crap that has gone down over the past 3 weeks!
